If your pirate could have one wish upon a star granted for the coming year, what would it be and why?

It can be anything you want --
a new ability or feature
accomplish a particular goal
change the way something that already exists in-game is done
the possibilities are endless!

Well, where do I begin? Mind you, it's just one idea out of the numerous ones I have floating about in my head. Some of which were submitted to POTCO. Others are yet to be submitted at all. But of all the ones I would love to see happen is this: To see POTCO securely restructure these game accounts to allow more options for a price.

Current price for Full Access will remain the same. However, certain services will cost extra. Some of them are just one-time flat fees or rates. Others are monthly or subscription charges. All depends on what that service will provide for you and your pirates in particular. None of these services are meant to give your pirate an edge. They will simply fulfill a need, savvy?

For instance, how about you guys and gals who have Old Body types? Ever wished to make those again? What if you could? Well, for a price, Member Services can copy any existing pirate and transfer it to an existing slot on yer account. They will even copy certain pieces of clothing for your duplicate pirate to wear. Now rest assured this applies to all users. Its one way to bypass the creation process [which is free] and simply have an existing pirate to be copied [for a fee]. Moreover, if you like to choose a customized name, approval will happen then and there. No need to wait!

Of course, I can hear it now, "But, but, but Plat, what if I don't have any more slots available for this wonderful service? POTCO has shut down that service of transferring pirates from one account to another". No problem. For a fee, POTCO can create an additional account for you and permanently link it to your Main. This will give you another maximum of four slots to create new pirates or fill in with existing ones. You can buy as many additional accounts as you like. Then decide which ones you would like to pay Full Access for or stay as Basic.

Ah yes, I can hear it coming again, "But, but, but Plat, that would be great to have around. Can we still double pirate though from the same computer?" Of course. You can do it the long way around for free as it's been commonly done. Or, just pay per month or subscribe 6/12 months for POTCO to simplify the process by enabling a new feature on the Launcher. Its a new drop down menu that will show how many accounts you have to choose from. Just select each one you would like to play with [up to four accts maximum], type in your Main password, and voila! Game will automatically go into window mode and somehow start loading all four screens on your computer. This is a feature that can only apply to this service.

See what I mean? See why I wish for such a thing to happen sometime soon? Restructuring these accounts will open a whole new world of possibilities that will be a win-win-win for Basics, Unlimiteds, and POTCO alike. I surely, currently, foreverly, and completely wish for WORLD DOMINATION! MAKE ME A WAFFLE! Just kidding, I wish for rum. In the game of course, I'm underaged, but at the taverns, it's just not as popular, look at Kings Arm, whenever I went there on Abassa, it was the hottest spot other than just outside on the beach, so just buying random drinks such as Rum, Ale, Grog, and other eventually poisonus drinks. When drinking to much of the long - term poison your vision gets impaired by blackness around the screen, it being harder to control your character, and sometimes falling down. Their pretty much EXTREMELY disoriented.

Here's my tall order of a wish! How many times have you heard: "I don't have space in my inventory? I have to see which weapon(s) or outfit(s) I have to part with?" When Disney first came out with the new inventory system back March 2010, everyone was delighted with the prospect of what we thought was more space... until we got that dread pop up of no more room?!?

For the guys the clothing issue may not be as important to the gals but seriously, I was a bit mad when I lost a Revenant Ram due to no space in my weapons inventory during a long cannon defense session with friends or getting a transaction denied last time I was rushing to meet GM Xavier during Thanksgiving weekend and lost out on a famed weapon

We, pirates, can own up to three ships on game. Now it would be nice if we can store all our valuables aboard our ships in our Captain's quarters (cabin). Our current inventory is stored in one chest in different compartments- clothing, weapons, etc. We have a limit on storing only 35 clothing items while weapons are limited to only 30 items. If we can upgrade our ship's hull and cargo, we should be able to upgrade our ability to store our weapons/clothing inventory too.

It would be nice to have a chest dedicated just for weapons- perhaps a compartment just for swords, daggers, and guns. I suggest that one compartment is dedicated just for Dolls and Staff. My point is not all pirates collect the same weapons, if we can't have specialized compartments for all the different weapons then a separate one just for those rare/famed goodies.

Now for clothing, a chest with different compartment to store: hats, coats, pants, shirts, belts, etc. We earn enough gold to upgrade our ships and what not, we should be able to spend our gold as much as we can on clothes too! I'd like to see a separate tab/compartment to keep the clothing I purchased from peddlers in the past. Unless trading becomes a reality soon...

"But wait Cy! I only have a light ship. " Instead of chests, loot bags with the same purpose as I describe above only less space to store. Everyone should benefit all around- basics and unlimited! I'd love to see what the Disney game developers have in mind on fulfilling our pirate guests' wishes and taking it a step beyond our expectations

If I had any wish, it would be for Disney to really see the potential this game had and missed. It would take someone at DIMG (Interactive Media Group) to champion the game and get the resources to get it overhauled, moved to a better graphics engine, better servers and actually promote the game to attract new players and coax the old timers back.

I know its a matter of money, but you can't make some without spending some.

Scrap the Kraken, scrap the Club Penguin guy's idea of just having mini-games and no more continuing plot... (That was him by the way that made that change. He's gone now.)

Dig back out all of those countless images, phase files, audio tracks, music tracks and the unfinished maps. Put just a bit of that 3.8 billion dollars made by the Pirates movies into hiring a team of folks to continue what was started.

Re-write chapters 2, 3 and on to get us back on track with the movie's story timeline and not stuck forever between films 1 and 2. Give pirates a reason to come back day after day, and we will.... and we will glad pay our two-bits to be part of that.

At it's peak, this game had over 500,000 players. Half-a-millon. That's staggering isn't it? At $9.95 a month for a year. That was a potential $60,000,000.00 that was once poured into their coffers. Isn't continuing to the horizon worth just a fraction of that?

But, an Amazon can only wish...


If any Disney folks ever peer inside these hollowed walls, here's a few practical ideas to keep us going.


Trading - nuff' said. If we're never getting trading, then either a Captain's Quarters or an expanded storage chest, even just a catch all bin for extra junk would work.

More, Lots More Recycling Quests - If we're never getting Chapter 2, then every NPC should be offering us basic little quests for gold, XP, or hard to find items. Add to that random dig spot treasures give just one or twice a day - you might stumble upon something special

More Mini-Games - How about Dagger Darts, Arm Wrestling, or Coin Flipping games in the Taverns? How about earning a permanent skill in Ship Repair so we can earn extra materials?

Clean up Kingshead - If we're never gonna' have to rescue Jack from the Keep in Chapter 2, then a lot of the island is wasted space and unused buildings. Might actually run smoother.

Smithing Skills - We have custom ships, why not custom weapons? But it would not really have to be true custom weapons. Adding a quest to learn blacksmithing or gunsmithing could allow a player to upgrade a weapon to equal a hard to find famed one. And ANY new quests are welcome.

I wish to be able to:

Battle the Monstrous Kraken alongside my friends

Explore Brand New Islands filled with undiscovered new territory such as rivers with snakes,( a new enemy) and jungles with vines that rise what would seem like all the way up to the top of the trees.

Celebrate what really matters (friendship) in A Captain's Cabin on my ship and invite friends in.

But my main wish is for Disney to read the Revive POTCO petition and to make some changes for the good next year.
