January 2012 Crossword Puzzle Contest
 We've had a mighty nice winter break but it's time to dust off ye ole brain cells and get back to work!   Let's see how well ye can traverse through this here puzzle o' mine. (click image to make larger) Simply submit your answers via PM to me by Sunday, January 29. You can write the answers in the same order as the questions or any other way that you want. I will tally up the number correct and hand out awards. 22 or more correct will earn ya this:  0 - 21 correct:  Yes, there are questions from the movies and game. I was doing it today and I noticed a few mistakes.
Number 16 Down asks what century POTC is centered around. I am certain that the answer I have is correct (I even Googled to double check) and it does not fit in the box that is for 16 down. Just to point out, 18 down is also an incomplete question, although the end of it is pretty clear. Other than that, very good crossword. Not too easy, but not pulling-my-hair-out difficult.

Okay, after further review the answer for #16 Down could be either century. So I'm going to call that one a gimme question -- if you answer it the way it fits in the puzzle it will count as a bonus. But if you get it wrong, it won't count against you either. Fair enough?
And whoops! I cropped the image too much and accidentally cut off the last line of #18 down. It should read: What is the name of the mermaid from "On Stranger Tides?" Sorry about that!
