Rip bill ironskull
It is with a heavy heart that I tell you now of Bill Ironskull's departure from this world. He lost his battle with cancer and has left to sail new adventures. Bill was a founder. He was seen quite often in svs and I had the pleasure of sailing with him there. My heart goes out to his loved ones and friends.
This evening there was a group of pirates that paid their respects to Bill in the game. May he rest in peace. |

Much love Bill.
We had our clashes, we had our battles, and we had our giggles. I'm sure you were the foundation of that beach, there every day without fail for the last 3 years. A golden ray of sun on the beach and some serious good opposition in svs; always better to have you in our team than shooting at you. Silky - Maya Mara - Violet Rose - Isla |

I never knew Bill myself, but this is saddening news to hear, for those who knew him and those who didn't. May he live on forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Bill. |

Bill Ironskull was without a doubt, the best cannoneer I ever encountered in SVS. He was a tough competitor, and never stooped to cheating. His favorite targets were cheaters in the game... and he usually came out on top. He was a good friend.... and the best GM I have ever known. He will be missed by all of us who loved and respected this quiet confident man. Feo, Fuerte y Formal.
Good luck in the next demension Bill! |

Oh my goodness!! I seen him in the French island just hanging out and I just find this so devastating. If only I got to know him better. What a sad day for everyone.

Very sad news. Bill and I sailed together a long time. Hoot is right probably the best gun in the game, always a stand up guy. We have lost a true POTC hero. It was a true honor sharing time with Bill.
See you on the other side buddy, the first round of grog is on me. Lawrence Dreadrage |

I can't describe the hollow place I have with Bill gone when I sail. There are no words for that feeling. After I made this Molly I had a car accident and was out almost a year from pirates....and Bill was the first pirate I saw when I landed on porc..I crewed him. I had never seriously sailed svs at that time, only with my brothers...both did time in bsi...Bill, though, one of few who recognized me as a noobie cannoneer for them...encouraged me to raise a sail in svs. But he never stopped the encouragement, or when I took breaks from game....talking me back to it. And I cant remember one single time that I ever asked him(and hundreds of times when I didnt) that he didnt come to gun for me. I sailed early this morning alone, with his name, ...and never once fired a cannon...but I could swear those empty cannons fired a few times.....made first place,, and when only the 'lil ones'(noobie svsrs, of which i'm proud to be one forever^^...) were left...I heard Bill say , "lets leave the minnows alone"...so.... I did...I know you are in a far better place Bill...but we miss ya.

Although I met Bill on sort of a misstep, as time went on I watched and learned of how honorable of a pirate he was. Whenever I was going privateering, Bill was always there; I had grown to see him as a sort of fixture in the privateering corner of the Caribbean, and I respected that. He must have been a truly great pirate to be admired by so many sailors.
Tis a sad day when a member of the Caribbean Family passes away. At least from now on he's sailing waters more clear and blue than anything we can ever dream of; so, bless you, Captain Ironskull, for we all know that a captain of your valor will truly be happy in such a place. Rest in peace, mate

Every time I went to Andaba French Isle, I would usually see him AFK, or sailing. That was his corner.
Rest in peace, mate. Fair Winds!

I don't believe I've really even ever spoken to Bill. Regardless, I can tell this player was very respectable. More than respectable. During my big SvS days (not too long ago, really) I remember seeing him standing there all the time on the beach. Just standing, watching us, perhaps he wasn't even present at his keyboard. Occasionally I would see him laughing with his friends, or perhaps preparing to launch a ship. He was one of those people I wish I knew.
I am sorry to hear that such a beloved member of our Caribbean has left us. May he always be remembered by the Andaban Privateers, his friends, and the Caribbean. May his footsteps forever leave their impression in the sand of Ile d'Estable De Porc, and may he rest in peace. |
