Prologue

The mist wrapped around the islands, engulfing all with fog. The Navy soldiers were called back from their fort duty, as they couldn't see pirates anyways. The EITC hires, although stealthy, couldn't throw their knives straight into the fog to hit any pirates, so the hires rolled off to their stronghold. The skeletons, although undead, and they can go forever, (until engaged, of course) but Jolly Roger called them away through the ground, back to his ship. The islands were empty, as pirates stayed in the taverns. Only one island had any inhabitants... supernatural inhabitants... a mysterious island yet to be explored, but refuses entry to it. Coal-black birds flocked around this island, day or night, fog or not, they still flocked. Tales have been told about this island, any pirates have only referred to it as one thing.... Raven's Cove.

This is just the start, to introduce some of the basics of this story. (I know it's short.)

This was a little confusing actually. Not enough transition, and I'm not sure I understood your point when you said,

Basically, it's explaining the islands were empty. The skeletons can go forever, until pirates kill them, but Jolly called them back.

The bars refer to the taverns. I should probably put that instead. Going to go change.
