Whats next?

Well, we all had known for a while that all the stuff about El Patron and his weapons have been leading up to the release of Raven's Cove... but what comes next? Likely they will add some new staffs into the game sometime after Raven's Cove comes out, but after that I would think that our little "storyline" concerning Ravens Cove and El Patron is pretty much over... what do you think?

Meh, right now, it's a tad hard to tell... Possibly the Davy Jones quest seeing as a strange black mark appears on your hand after defeating El Patron, according to an emote that is only unlocked after the battle. The movie states that when you are at sea and have the black mark, the kraken comes to get ya. This is just speculation, of course, but then again most of the things that come up RIGHT on the forums are mostly speculation. :/

Anyone who has seen the 2nd POTC movie would know about the "Black Spot". So, the Kraken should be coming

Well, it isn't. If you think about it, they have lot's more to elaborate on that topic. Invasions, GMs, and heck, why not throw in a couple more dead skeletons and call this thing a scary house... LOL

But, funny side put away, I think they could pull off a few more GM events on RC.....

I asked PotCo if the Abu Nar were coming... this is what they said:

Thank you for contacting the Pirates of the Caribbean Online Crew and for your interest in the Abu Nar Clan. Unfortunately, at this time we are as ill-informed as you as to their whereabouts.
While some write the Abu Nar Clan off as legend or tall tale, we believe that they are real. Of course, no savvy swashbuckler will take us at our word. Until we have the blades in hand, defined by their unusual craftsmanship, we would look as crazy as Scary Mary if we decided to pursue the Clan.
Not to mention, even if the daggers are found, many questions will still remain. Are the members of the Abu Nar Clan still around today? If they are, why did they abandon their blades? Are they hiding among us, or living apart in a secret location? Only one thing is certain. If the Abu Nar Clan lives up to the legends, we will not find them. The will find us, and we will not hear them coming.

Also what about other new mysterious islands? And Dark Blades (Scimitars), Boarding Axes, Spyglasses, Rapiers, Epees from the phase files? Do the Dark Blades have some connection to the clan? Do axes and spyglasses have something to do with the "SvS boarding" they announced in the L.A Conference? There can be SO much story out of this...

There's a lot of different branches out there that can be explored by Disney. Honestly, Raven's Cove is the big enchilada as of late, of after that, I believe we'll have a break from major updates 'til 2011.

What I think would happen next, and hopefully will, is New Ships as well as ship customization, as well as the weather. Also add a kind of new fleet battle, where instead of you hunting down the fleet, the fleet tries to attack an island, and YOU have to stop too mnay from porting. All have been on the agenda of many a pirate, and I know would be well recieved as an equal, if not greater than, Raven's Cove. After that, you get those new weapons Midhav mentioned and then some more mysterious islands.

However, the storyline of El Patron, Captain Walter and the Marceline, Casa De Muertos and the Black Guard is FAR from over. I include Cap'n Walter in there because, to my knowledge, Sandra Tew is still looking for a way to help him. Captain Walter wouldn't disappear just like that, not without a funeral service or some sort of celebration of his life, it just doesn't seem like Disney to just let him die and just drop him there.

The Abu Nar Clan will come into play, I can tell you that. If POTCO wanted the new daggers to just come, they would have just made a dagger week, like they did with the Voodoo doll week. Instead, they tell of an ancient clan who forged blades of great skill, and were extremely good assassins. They will find us, and they will be formidable opponent.

As well, Casa De Muertos still will have much tricks up on their sleeves, so expect no shortage in quests from them. The Black Guard will continue to interrogate as usual, and they will always be fighting against Captain Xavier Hench and the Marceline.

There is many paths that can be taken, and they all show promise. Raven's Cove won't be the burial of updates, don't worry. We still have a lot to look forward to on the horizon.

This can however not be confirmed as it is just the claimed mail from one user, and so my brother and I have sent messages to Disney on the same topic:

"Hello, thank you for your e-mail about the next story Chapter. Yes, the cursed blades have been found and will soon put an end to Jolly Roger. Also, an unknown sea creature with massive tentacles has been soptted off the coast of Isla Tormenta. All we know is that this war will soon come to an end.
