I have a theory (thanx to a few friends on The Test Game) that, what if Disney releases the new island or raises the mysterious fog on the Test Game before The Fishing Update comes to The Live Game. I mean we need to test out the new mysterious island before it comes to live. Would Disney really release a new mysterious island that we can't dock or land on, on live?

Chances are that they will. It would be a good way for creating hype among the non-test players.

Yah, I'm with Charle on this. Not only do they need to see how it works in the live game (just the mere structure of it in live), but they also want to build suspense for everyone on live. It's gonna be there awhile methinks.

Yeah, but I don't know. I mean most of us players/pirates/guests return to school either next week or in the coming weeks unfortunately. So, I can't see why Disney would want to "build suspense" if players are not on the game more like in The Summer time. :/

Maybe they see it as a reward for getting all of your homework done and earning some playtime. A little extra incentive to do well in school. I am confident that the fishing release will be as it is with the island shrouded in fog. Eventually the fog will be lifted on test but we have no way of knowing when that will happen. I really don't think that their target audience going back to school is a determining factor in their releases. When stuff is ready they add it. If it's not ready then they don't.

The update will be released just like it was on test (minus the bugs). If they lift the fog when its on live, before it has been tested, chances are we will end up under the island in the water when we port on it or something.

I know you guys are impatient for all this, and so am I, but we are just going to have to wait.

My theory:

- Fishing is gonna hit Open in the last week of August. This is roughly around the time we got the notoriety increase last year, so this looks like a good time to release it.

- The fog will be raised, if we're very very lucky, within the first few weeks of September.

- The mini-quest will come a short time after this, probably around a week after the island is on Test. Of course, this is considering the fact that nothing goes completely wrong with the Cove. If there are a boatload of bugs, lag, crashing, which should be expected, then we'll have to wait a little.

- They need a substantial amount of time to Test these two things, both the island, and the quest. Expect over a month and a half of testing time, maybe even longer. We can't really be sure. However, I think Disney is really gonna push themselves to get Raven's Cove out either BEFORE Halloween (maybe a few days earlier) so that they can do the Muertos Moon, or possibly ON Halloween, to act as a 3-year anniversary present.

- After letting us look around for a few days, the mini-quest hits the shelves.

Just my thoughts, based on the pattern Big D usually follows with releases.

Yeah, skeletons or undead pirates versus ghosts on Halloween, that would really cool.

I doubt the quest will be added when they lift the fog. (As others have stated) We have to test out the stability of the Island... Do you want to work on a quest when every time you collect a loot drop form a new enemy you crash??? (Just an example) How frustrating would that be? Every time they add something big it seems to affect the entire map, not just the new stuff... so be patient and don't throw mini hissy fits when all goes to chaos!

Loved the rollbacks when the loot drop system was added??? How about a repeat??? Patience is a virtue!

Actually, according to quest text we'll actually have to do the quest before we'll get to fight ghosts in the Ravens Cove mine, so the only way we'll get to test if anything is wrong is by going through the majority of the quest.(which shouldn't be difficult, for the most part, but time consuming)

But what if the ghosts are also outside the mine? If they are only in it, then the noises (howling, groaning) would only be limited to the Mine. Darn it. I imagined Raven's Cove to be this place haunted by an everlasting white-grayish fog, and with howling in the background and mysterious visuals of ghosts here and there...

I owuldn't be too surprised if disney does another GM event type thing, exploring the new island with the GMs, or helping the GMs life the fog by sinking surrounding ships. Idk, and I'm not asking for another GM event, but I'm just guessing they might do something like this.

it seems redicules to me to even think of throwing the fog of in live at the same time as test and captain jason they will probablly do a sinking thing or a short tour with the GM's that just how disney is sadly
