Pretend "EITC" Guilds

Does anyone else find it annoying how there are all these pretend EITC Guilds that say they are working with Beckett..... I mean seriously pirates, its impossible to have a Guild that works with Beckett, they are just saying that and making it up....

It can be annoying.. some guilds tend to over do it. However, as long as they're having fun, it's not a big deal.

Agreed, as long as they just keep to themselves and dont run around trying to make other players upset, I dont really have a problem with them. However I do think its a little bit.... kiddish if you ask me. This is pirates online, not EITC Online. But as SOS said, if they are having fun, and not bothering anyone else, I'm ok with it.

Have you mates ever heard of that great invention called "imagination"? You know, that wonderful thing that has basically created any idea or physical creation in existence? The one thing that lets a person allow their mind to wander, explore, and most of all, have fun!

I see no problem with guilds that pretend to be apart of the EITC. I find that a great showing of how ones imagination can expand the borders of a simple game. HOWEVER, if they overdo it (provoking fights with random pirates, trying to "kill" other pirates) THAT'S where I draw the line between "imagination," and "immaturity."

And as for the definition of "provoking fights?" Well, I don't see role-playing, such as going in to Tortuga and denouncing piracy, as going out of your way to bother others. But, what I DO consider mean, is if you go up to a specific, individual person, and push them around, yell at them, etc. etc. etc.

It's just a game mates.

I agree completely.. I've said it before, i'll say it again: What is the sense of roleplaying if you cannot choose a side? Jeez, i get some people grumping about me because im loyal to Jolly Roger/Davy Jones and saying things like "OMG! You're loyal to Davy/Jolly, You should be banned!" or "Your guild should boot you because your in league with Davy Jones/Jolly Roger." And stuff like that. It's one thing if it's all roleplaying, but harassing others is a different matter. Mind you, im not loyal to the EITC..(Im loyal to Davy Jones and Jolly Roger) but if there are those who wish to serve the EITC, let them.

You guys are over thinking guilds in game and what they are about. They are just guilds in a game! Most of these people are bored and decided to really get into role playing. They don't cause anyone any harm. If they harass you or others just report, ignore, change servers, or all of the above.
Keep in mind that just because it annoys some that doesn't make it wrong or a bad thing. We all have to understand and respect that this is an online game that forces players to interact with others in one way or another.
So have fun and let others have their fun as well. It hurts no one and its just a game.

I agree that role playing is fun but not when some of these guilds harass individuals or other guilds...

Some of them also claim that a certain island is theirs and yells at everyone that comes near them saying they are trespassing, rofl. ;D

ya i agree if they r having fun let them yes the harassing ones r super annoying and should and will get reported but if its not hurting any one then ya its fine its there way of fun

lol like this one guild kept saying rumrunners and padres was theirs and was yelling at a lot of people. also, one guy threatened to report me and started fighting with me because ppl were asking me if they were really an eitc guild and i said no. imagination is great, yes, but when you start threatening to report people.....
