The Shipyard
I will be placing my first ship to discuss here on the marrow:Either the Grand Turk ,a sixth-rate frigate British replica recently sold to a person in France or the fabled HMS Victory ,Vice Admiral Nelson's Ship-of-the-line flagship ,from the most famous and amazing sea battle from the Napoleonic era. The Merrimack-a Union ship in the American civil war that was part of the Naval blockade surrounding the Confederacy. The confederacy captured it, renamed it the Virginia, and refitted it with iron plating. The confederacy then used the ship to fight the ships in the blockade. The ship was indestructable and cannonballs just bounced off of it. The Union didn't let this go unnoticed they used their own iron-clad ship, The Monitor and used it to fight the Virginia. Neither ship could sink the other and the confederacy decomissioned the Virginia and the War continued.
