Beggining with 1602 A.D., the German video game company related designs new they had a hit on there hands. They began makig even more games such as 1503 A.D. and 1701 A.D.. In my personal opinion, this is the best historical strategy game ever. I mean the campaigns are epic and the cities you can build look so beautiful when they are done. Related Design's newest release however, Dawn of Discovery, (Anno 1404 in Europe) was amazing. The graphics in this game were outstanding, the storyline is superb, and the many options you have in this wonderful world are infinate. So, in this game you begin with a ship (sometimes an armada if you choose that setting) that you use to colonize the coasts of unsettled European shires. You then settle peasants and they require food and access to a market square. They wish to advance to Citizens which require cider, food, fish, market place, and a church. Then you probably would have close from 50 to 100 honor points given to you by Lord Richard, your advisor and emmisary to His Magesty. Then you are ready to stock up your ship with supplies and trinkets which are available to purchess via honor points. As you sail south you will find weirder looking cities and eventually stumble across a corsair's lair. You better have enough gold, because he will demand allegiance immidiately. Then you present your gift to the Grand Vizier of the Orient and he permits you to build Oriental Cities similar to your European Fiefdoms. You also have to build the Sultan's Mosque and the Imperial Cathedral for victory conditions along with launching crusades against your enemies. Over all, this game has a 7.5/10
