POTCO subscription
when the official version of the game comes out will beta accounts still be unlimited access? which means we don't have to subscribe. It would be cool not having to pay the monthy fee since we helped beta test...

Nope, we will have to pay.
![]() We beta tested because we are supposed to find bugs and glitches, and then report them to staff. Our gift is the honor of playing this game first. But think about it: They gave out 10,000 beta keys. If we got a free subscription, then that is 100,000 dollars a month less money. Disney no likey losing money.

I hear that the Devs will be sending out eye patches to everyone who tested, upon release of the game. The person delivering the patch will first POKE YOUR EYE OUT so that the eye patch is worn appropriately! -)
Usually, companies do not give you anything after you beta test their game. Your payment is being able to play it for FREE before it is released. To play it for FREE, you are expected to help identify bugs in the game for them to remove. You don't have to sent bug reports...the Devs usually have some monitoring program watching how you play the game and this helps them gain a lot of information that will be used when the game is released. So by just playing, you are helping. And you are getting paid...by playing for free. Sometimes companies will hold contests when they stress-test the servers. Random people will be picked to receive t-shirts or game cards or whatever. For instance, Lord of the Rings Online recently had a contest: Players had to log into their open test server on a certain date between certain hours. You might win a 60-day game card or a new high-end video card. The Devs do this to try to stress the server...offer freebies and many people will show up. Sometimes is it better to be glad for what you have NOW and not always expect recompensation later. You know, how about you sending THEM something..as a thank you? Now, I am actually a strange sort-of tester. I have actually sent items to the Devs as a thank you for allowing me to test/play their game. I mostly send unopened food items (bags of cookies/hot chocolate mix/apple cider mix/candies) and I never seek favortism from the Devs (I usually ask them not to mention from whom they received the items...if they post about it). It is my way of saying "good job, keep it up, enjoy!" IF....if the Sept. beta is better than this one...if the quests can be solved, the lag reduced greatly, more content added, etc....then the POTCO Devs just may get a little something in the mail. For the Devs out there...consider this a BRIBE to encourage you to Exceed The Testers' Expectations! LOL Toodles, Dolnor Numbwit Eternally Foolish Newbie P.s. Devs working on Guild Wars, LOTRO, Empiriana(old game), The Realm, and a few others have received edible goodies from me in the past.
