Getting off the ship

ok when its time for me to leave the ship I hit dock and end advent then hit ctrl to exit the ship BUT when I try to get a shore I keep swinning right into land...

how work around this without logout every time?

what exactly do you mean? do you maen you go through it or under the land? If so, you need to keep walking until ye get to a spot that is level with your character

My suggestion is once docked, press esc, then use teleport to go back to island. This also makes sure my ship definantly disapears quickly. This is good if you running from navy ships.

I have found if i leave my ship, even if i wasnt being chased by navy ship, that i can find my ship was defeated before game has decided if back on dry land

So see if teleporting off deck helps ya.

EDIT: ok seems the two devs (dumb and dumber) working on testing coding have been at it again, seems they stopped u teleport off your ship, so now as has been said, its back to jumping off ship, and ending up swiming under islands.

Isn't it about time they did a proper dock system where u can chose to leave ship and actually end up back on the DOCK! Before stopping us doing our useful shortcuts, seems logical to me anyways.

Ok, if u can't get back on land, by going to beach and walking up, only other solution, is to find a door or character u can interact with as close to your swimming level as possible, if your lucky enough it shud right you on land, doors are best for this.

On Tortuga, theres a door, with 3 steps in front of it on beach, just left of arch to town square. This has served me well before. Not sure on port royal off hand.

ah I will try those...had to make a second pirate due to quests being bugged so far I am not stuck however....now instead not able to get on land with this pirate, this new one cant swim back to the ship she walks in the water....but I can get around that by just recovering the ship.

This game needs more people in it for a realllllly good test of the system dont think its ready for release for a long bit

Also if you get stuck under land again, Look around for a crate or something, You know the ones you search through for some certain quests and you will come back up onto land.

Thanks for the Crate info Captain! I will have to try it next time I find myself swimming under the island! It does happen quite often!
