If they are seen as being against the sites policies, they will be removed. If these comments do not add or contribute to the original subject of the thread, they are often viewed as nonsense/spam. |

This is not a public domain forum - so even though discussion is open to topics they are subject to the terms you agreed to. Of course, if you do not agree to the terms you do not have to post - but - you cannot use the Consitiution (which may not even apply as the site may be in a country which is not the U.S.) as a defence (though free speech is of upmost importance, I would agree) But when it is counter-productive on a private site which you agreed to abide to the terms to use, you must accept the results or not post... The choice is always yours - that is your right. ![]() -- Now - as part of those terms of agreement... Spamming, Trolling, Flaming and many other rules listed in the POF Policies and Guidelines can be reviewed at anytime by any user and should you have a question about them, feel free to PM a mod for clarification. If any user breaks the rules, it is within the site moderators discression to keep the forum in a proper operational state as to the Guidelines, and they must take direction as such. Life itself is full of rules and regulations Swash, and its always your choice to follow those rules - of course just as in real life if you chose not to follow them there are consequences (which here, I would say many users - including yourself - get off pretty easy). We COULD do 'work to rule'... but it wouldn't be nearly as fun or sometimes exciting as it is now...

Isn't it PG? But I do agree that the U.S. Constitution does not aply here, as POTCO Forums does have it's own 'constitution', their Terms of Usage. But, anyway your posts may be deleted because: As the Polices and Disclaimers say: Anyone impersonating or acting like they are an administrator or moderator is not allowed and can result in disciplinary action. If a user finds a thread or post that is inappropriate please report the thread or post and let the administration and moderating staff handle the situation. Wouldn't this includeount remarks such as "Your not susposed to post a screenshot thread outside of the screenshots forum. You should move your thread or something"? Myself, I think it should. ~Allen |

Actually, your right to freedom of speech under the U.S. Constitution does not directly apply here, as this board is privately owned/operated, and is not a public forum. It is accessible to the public, but it is still a private forum, who's members are subject to its policies/rules.

Oh ok I was wondering but i think I get it Freedom of speech applies to Actually TALKING as Freedom Of opinion Applies to TALKING too meaning you actuslly have to be talking for it too apply.

You may be essentially correct there. "Freedom of the Press" might be applied towards publication of information (vs Talking). This is likely a gray area, however the rules all remain the same so it doesnt become an issue of discussion often.

Heres How I see it
Ex. Swash sends Zeppers Pm saying your mean and evil. Doesnt apply To U.S Constitution and zeppers can put consequences over Swash. Ex. Swash Tells Zeppers in RL that hes mean and evil. Applies to the U.S Constitution and zeppers can do Nothing about it. Those are Examples. |

No you cannot. It is part of the registration process at our site, as well as on POTCO to agree to the Terms of Usage if you wish to be allowed to use the facilities provided. Everyone on this site has agreed to the terms, as well as read the rules, and agreed to them.
As Max and Zep have both said, if you agree to our terms of usage you are nulling your right to freedom of speech to what is asked of you by our rules. Since this site does have members outside of the United States, including the founder of the site itself, we cannot abide by the first right of the Constitution as there are members who are not under it.
