No, nothing has really changed in the process of fighting/sailing, at least drama wise, perhaps action/response wise, but not drama wise. The drama if any are the complaints and the frustration/monotony of those tired of doing the same things, or distressed when a game adjustment causes them to adjust thier style of game play. |

Well be nice if the next story chapter comes out...I guess the GM's and etc are stalling with these "let's meet the people thing" Hey i have an idea next time you guys can get a word in or talk to anyone of those GM's ask them when the next story chapter is coming out huh?
That would be nice...because these little side quest with the weapons and the Ship vs Ship thing get's old after a while, and the new costumes...I mean adding new features is nice but new enemy's and new story with cinematics be nice too..I mean playing the Black Pearl Quest was fun till right at the end when it seems more like a go get me quest then actual part of the story kinda thing. And new worlds and etc be cool too, Cuba and Jamaica are the only real islands that are around, what about puttin in Florida or Georgia, Charles Town...maybe get a whirlpool warp to Singapor? ya...you can see where this is going...Kraken?....Davey Jones? big boss fight..Maybe like 5 man crew raids instances...or some other stuff....ahhhh Ima just go a ahead and say it....Make it like World of Warcraft sorta....just don't over due with copyright and other stuff...but yea...take the ideas and blah blah you know.......Get together people and instead of being on a ship...how about being on land? Because Ship battles are I tell ya honestly...BORING!!..and yea....I'm noticeing alot less people are online then there used to be...why you may ask..I dunno...

I wouldn't call a lot of what they have done more dramatic, nor would I call it an improvement. There are things that I do like such as the newer ships and bosses. What I don't like are some of the glitches and settings changes that they have done to the enemy ships and land enemies. For starters it seems that they messed with the treasure settings on ship plunder. There was a time before the so called improvements when if you had high ranked treasure sense and you went after higher level ships, You were usually rewarded by much more valuable cargoes. Now it seems that cargo has become very random regardless of the level of ships you're plundering. Seems that you're just as likely to get a bunch of near worthless crates after sinking a Death Omen, Behemoth, or Juggernaught as you are to haul in Royal Chests from such high level ships. The exception to this seems to be in plundering high level flagships such as Collossus and the Man O War flagship over by Kingshead. Those still mostly pay off with royals.
I don't like the changes made to the behavior of enemy ships giving them the ability to fire three volley's for every single volley that our ships can fire, also giving them the ability to spin around 180 degrees and hit us with both broadsides instantly. I see a lot of weird glitches in the way in which the enemy ships behave since the improvements. I've also seen glitches or maybe settings changes with land enemies that just aren't right. For example their ability to run through solid objects such as the fence at kingshead or to run inside a wall and still attack from within the wall. Also enemies that can attack with cutlass while well out of range of out own cutlass attacks. Seems that they did fix the glitch that caused enemies to be able to float and attach from above. Rather than call the changes dramatic or an improvement I'd call them annoying for the most part. |

Yea its the same but i guess POTCO changed the default graphics to the enhanced graphics or something so some people who have ran the game on low graphics since they played well then this is all new to them.

Well what im talking about it more on Game Physics and graphics, I admit if they were to change game engines and probably use WoW engine or maybe lineage or something and not some cheapo one, they would have alot less bugs and the game would alot more stable, because even when I was running Radeon X1650 512mb 3.46ghz Pentium 4 extreme 1.5GB Ram maxed setting was 1240x1024 and all settings were maxed I STILL LAGGED! now that's saying something for a game that does not demand alot from the PC (Read minimum specs then come and compare to mine)

Maybe it is a change in graphics, I really don't know. But I have had ships drop out of the sky next to mine, retroburner across the sea, and have been attacked by crocs, giant crabs, and scorps all at the same time. Never experienced alot of this before the updates. Not that these things add drama, but they certainly add to the action to the game...

Other than new moves for French and Spainish undead, I havn't noticed anything. I envy those Skeletons, with their two cutlasses....
