Help Wanted To Obtain Voodoo Staff

Could anyone help me?! I am lvl 27 notoriety and SEVERLY want the voodoo staff does anyone have tips that can help me get to 30 notoriety? Thanks in advance!

Pursuing the story quest has always been the fastest way for me to obtain notoriety, it also however can make the last couple of notoriety levels more difficult relying soley only on skill/weapons reps (once the quest is completed). I would recommend a balance of weapon leveling, and questing on your way to level 30. There are no shortcuts.

As soon as the new quests came out I did ALL of them....That should get you close to 30.

Yes, the new Tatoo, and Jewelry quests also offer Notoriety rewards, those could definately help boost notoriety as well.

Dont neglect your weapons though. Once your a higher notoriety, it makes it harder to level up a lower rank weapon.

here is what i did to get it in four days. go to outcast and kill lvl 30 stumps with cutlass. kill anything higher with doll. thats what i did :-) each one with crew bonus is 110 rep! it is fast and easy.

Oh, the new crew bonus is 120 now per weapon.....if they are standing within 5 feet of u and the more the crew, the more the reps.

Use the Doll to level, as the enlarged voodoo cap will help the most with the Staff.

I just finished this on my "little" pirate this weekend. Not so little anymore, though...

I spent time on Padres beach, killing grenadiers and gypsies.

With the grenadiers, I'd just bash them with the cutlass or dagger.

Shoot the gypsies with hex eater, then with lead shot until they died. When I leveled pistol, I'd drain them, then bash them with sword or cutlass.

Once I got all three (cutlass, pistol, dagger) leveled, I'd start over again.

For the doll, I found it faster to go to Kingshead and show my dolly to a bunch of officers. I tended to let it fall a couple levels behind the others, then bring it up later.

I got to level 18 on dagger/cutlass/pistol, and about halfway through 17 on the doll when I hit level 30 and started the staff quest. The rest: sailing 17, cannon 20, grenades 23.

Tip: When you get the staff, go to Kingshead. Use blast (the single click attack) from behind the fence to repeatedly kill an officer until you hit level 4. At level 4, put a point into Wither.

Then run out into the parade ground. Stand in the middle of that group, in between the officer and the middle column of veterans, and wither away. From that spot, you can aggro all of them with a single attack. Wither until they're dead, repeat. You'll get minimum 140 rep per round, and will gain staff levels quickly.

Bring lots of potions. Fill up on all of them, even the expensive ones. You will run out of voodoo a lot at first, and will have to take a little pounding. At level 6, you get that voodoo regen passive. Pump that baby up, and you stop running out of voodoo so often. At level 12, you get that voodoo conservation passive. Pump that one up too, and you'll pretty much never run out.

At staff 14, they turn green, and the rep will cut in half. At this point, you'll be better off going deeper into Kingshead and finding a more fertile hunting ground. I hit this point just short of level 31.

Find an open area that has a bunch of officers in it. Stand in the middle, and use blast to pull them to you. When you have two or three, wither them. Don't get ****y. More than three officers will probably kill you. If you clean out the green/grey yard trash so that the good stuff will spawn, don't pull more than two officers. They may be green/grey, but they still do damage.
