winning a pvp match

ok, well i had a friend of mine who is a pvp pro! i mean like rank 5 on grave shackels and rank 5 on that cutlass passive skill that gives you more health, and all of those good pvp skills. well im not a pvp kind of person, so i have a different build, with a few mistakes. when i first met him, he could kill me so easily, now since i have been doing pvp more often i can kill him every now and then.

so the point to my topic is...is it really necessary to make a pvp built pirate? or have a regular pirate with lots of pvp practice...?

it was very hard and fustrating to practice, losing to all those pvp pros who are even lower levels than you are, but i believe if u practice enough, and have a rooteen ( however you spell it ) besides using voodoo doll all the time, i think you can win.

what do you guys think could win pvp? a pvp built pirate? or a regular pirate with practice?

A PvP built pirate. I recommend ranking 5 in Blade Storm, viper's brace, sidewinder (dagger), 5 in Seige Charge (grenade), in flaming skull/wither for the staff, and for passives, 5 in endurance, parry, blade instinct, and spirt mastery. These work mate, I usually use the sword in a PvP and a guildie of mine uses grenades, and from what I saw, both are the PvP weapons of choice (in my opinion). The top ranked PvP pirates on the DxD leaderboards, some of them I PvPed, DO NOT use dolls as far as I know! This proves something mates. Heh, well the sword and grenades are the most powerful to use, because with a staff, you run out of voodoo too fast, a pistol is too hard to aim, dolls, I'll explain that later in the post, daggers are good to use also.
For the doll, I would recommend avoiding using this. Although we are pirates, the doll is more of PvPing the easy way, grave shackles, life drain.... Think about their effects.

But unless your opponent or opponents all use them, heck I would play tag with the doll throughout the entire PvP!

In a PvP, practice alone makes little to no difference, trust me, personal experience. You can move your pirate in an evasive way where the other can't touch you and you just keep hitting them until they die, but this takes MAJOR practice and determination. It's just my opinion, but a PvP built pirate would be easier.

I honestly cant stand PvPing anymore. Theres too many pirates who take it too seriously. If they lose its rematch until they win then they win and OMG they wont shut up. Glitching left and right, Jumping all over like fleas......Oh and nades are pointless in it. Many of the high power attacks dont do squat in it.

Well I have to admit it is annoying when people are too over-worked about it. I PvP for the fun of it, not to get worked up over nothing.

Hehe, as for the nades, I bet they just scare off the opponent. Well maybe not.... Heck, my guildmate used them to take out 2 lvl 40s at a time! I might get a screenshot of it and post it on here.

I agree with you that most of the PvP I have done is taken WAY too serious!! However, we say that now...But, when the ship PvP gets here those of us that are "Sailing" pirates will end up taking that seriously. You bet I will try and find every exploit out there on the sea.....

From the sounds of it, i am glad I am not into PvP. I would get aggravated not at losing, but at some puke using a glitch to win. I am all for using exploits such as downgrading graphics and other "accepted" practices, but to use a glitch to win has no honor and holds no interest for me. If I can't win, fine, but don't use a cheat to win.

LOL I wonder if my ship can jump and broadside? That would be fun. And yes Bella, I will admit, I will be out on the seas A LOT when ship PvP comes out. I think I might take on GMan for my first kill.....
