"Cannot Display This Video Mode"

After the last update i'm getting troubles after the log in screen. All it says is "Cannot Display This Video Mode" then "Optimum resolution 1280 X 1024 60Hz". I tried changing my resolution but its not going away. I can also hear the game but no picture. Any ideas?

It will may work in windowed mode or forcing the Resolution - changing in game_options.txt, then making the file Read Only. The other question is, has the resolution used by the operating system changed? Might try right-click on the desktop, then Properties. Then under the Settings tab, try changing your resolution to something else in there, to see if it reverts the game to a different resolution. I have also seen a few writeups where people have experienced various video problems since the change, but not this specific one yet.

I dont wanna mess around with the program files just yet, incase it goes bonkers and I cant put it back to the original. I tried changing my resolution to just about every one possible and still nothin'. I actually sent in a bug report and im talking to a techie on the "live help chat" thing, so shes helping me out right now. Hopefully it gets sorted out, or i'm gonna have some kinda game withdrawal. Oh yeah, I feel really special. :P

Ugh. As soon as 7:00 hit, she left. And the transcript said I closed the chat window, when I was actually waiting for her for over 20 minutes after she said "Thank you, one moment please". -____- so much for tech support.

Edit: WOOO! I called tech support and they helped me out! Its working its working! *hugs her game*
