My Friend Sunk The Phantom
My friend claims he sunk the phantom when he is only at level 1. What do you think? Do you think he really sunk a level 30 ship?

The Phantom is the lowest level of the Skeleton ships. So if it was a Phantom it was probably in the 16/17 range.
It is possible for him to sink it if he knows how to sail and stay in front of the ship so that it doesn't damage him. If he's level 1 in sailing though, it probably took him a long time to sink it, if it had full health. Another thing that could have happened is that the Phantom was already low in health, and he just need to hit it a few times to sink it.

It's quite possible and safer if he stayed behind the ship though. If I'm not mistaken Phantoms are of the Frigate class, and Frigates have frontal cannons. I took one of those babies down when I was new. Quite simple if you have a fast ship and stay close behind it.

If he was on a higher level friends ship, then yes. Or if like Rose said the Phantom was already down low.

I think it can be done alone, if you get behind the Phantom (or manage to stay in front of it, like Pirate Rose said) so that it can't damage you and there are no ships to bother you. The particular level of the Phantom shouldn't matter. But, you need a bit luck not to get other ships involved and it will take a while to get that ship down so it also demands patience.
I took an EITC Ogre (think it was level 34 and I was level 11, admitted, this is not the same thing, but it's just to illustrate you can take out high level ships with weak ships) down alone with my sloop and took no damage. Otherwise it was a stupid choice: hammering it down with unupgraded broadsides took over half an hour and the reward was 100 rep (which I would have gotten from a light frigate) and one normal cargo crate... ![]() Simon

LOL silverbeard ^_^
anyway it is possible with a light sloop (and much patients) to sink any ship in the 7 seas (light sloop may seem weak [yes they are weak] but! they are fast and agile which means they can out turn a phantom EDIT: i just noticed that the person who started this thread has 0 posts O_o |

Hi guys! I just got back from vacation and I sunk the phantom as well, but with a Sloop. Not a ''light'' sloop. A Sloop. All I got was a stinkin' treasure chest
. And my ship sunk after that because it only had a 16th of life left and I was surrounded by EITC Ogres and Warlords.
