Black Pearl Bay

While trying to get into the Black Pearl Boss Battle (all together with all the crew), this bug occurred the first time. I was in a black world, unable to answer any of my friends whispering to me, completely disconnected.





And then, the second try, me and Jason Lockbane experienced the mother of all bugs before being transported into the battle...



Unfortunately this was the only screenshot that was saved, but we landed on Black Pearl Bay. We could run around for about a minute before we were transported. But it was amazing! We were on a proper island, but hidden away from regular view. Very interesting...

This could possibly be the bug my guild mates were getting when only one of all the crew members go to the Pearl while the others black screen.

I guess we now know what Davy Jones was referring to....

Yeah... it was pretty weird... especially since it was decorated for the holidays just like every other island... o_o

These are from the first time it happened, where I was alone.




Then here are the others I got when Misty and I were the only two who didn't crash.



It was actually a real piece of land, not just a hollow picture of trees and hills in the distance. This could have actually been a real island if they'd made it properly accessible.

^Thank goodness you got plenty more screenshots! Looks like it's possible to achieve this bug if you load (perhaps if you have a fast computer, you load before you actually load) the boss battle without crashing (if you're lucky). Then those who have only seen the screenshots can see it for themselves!

Yeah, totally willing to try the battle again with ya, if you like.

And Crest came online in the few minutes that I was on Misty? Then came offline before I switched back to Mayhem? Wow... talk about a miss...

lol that happened to our small crew of five last week. I was the only one who landed on that island. The rest saw a pitch black screen. I'm trying to remember how it went. Prior to finally landing on that island, and as one who has not played a Boss Battle in ages, I was patiently waiting for the familiar cinematic to begin. Took a while and for a brief moment thought my pirate was disconnected, but nope. He appeared on that island which threw me. Reading the name under the compass got me to thinking that POTCO had change it sometime during 2011. With wonderment I watched what would happen next. I believe the cinematic began.

I hit the ESC key just so I could meet my fellow mates to kill all those Navy officers. Took a bit to process and then wham! uh oh. Where's everybody? I was left alone. Too funny. Ended up doing everything. Was especially surprised to see how uncharacteristically awful those Light Frigates were in shooting the Pearl. Barely a scratch! I blew down the bridge and its towers by myself. Alas, I sank when facing the rest.

Game crashed soon after.

I just tried the boss battle again today and this time I actually got to Black Pearl Bay. I only had time to take one screen shot before it teleported me to the Black Pearl without my crew and I ended up crashing in the middle of it.
