Blue bars on enemy ships
I have done several searches, but apparently have not found the right Key word to find my answer
so although it may be here somewhere, I sure can't find it! What I would like to know is what the blue bar on the enemy ships measures. I know that the pirates blue bar is for voodoo, do the ships have voodoo??? Often the blue bar recedes before the other one, so I am just curious.

The blue bar represents the masts/sails of the ship, as they are not counted towards the overall HP of the ship. Thats why it reduces much faster, since many people take the sails down first to slow the boat or even stop it altogether.

Which is good for the low levels in a guild. Let the higher levels take out the sails from distance, then allow the lower levels to take out the ship with their cannons. It gives the higher levels some rep and allows the lower levels to practice and build rep.

Sail damage, no blue bar = no sails = they can't move

No, the blue bar is the ships mobility. When it's full, the ship sails at full speed, but the lower it gets, the ship sails slower to the point where it is a sitting duck if the sails are still getting removed. It lowers by reducing the sails and masts on a ship.
