Conflict in the Caribbean

A Game of Corruption, Greed, Deception, and Betrayal.

It's 1724 in the Caribbean. The crisp, blue seas of the Caribbean have become a stage to which each of the world powers come to boast their wealth and their power, as well as to pursue wild endeavorers in an attempt to dominate their enemies. One cannot travel far without seeing the sails of a trade ship swirling through the waters, whether it be a Dutch merchant ship departing from Port Royal, or a Spanish fleet patrolling the bay of Havana. And immense all of this, we can sense tension.

Baron Belicista was a rich Spanish nobleman who had just traveled to the Caribbean on means of diplomacy. He lived the life any man would want to live - unlimited wealth to his name, hundreds of men ready to sacrifice themselves at the flick of his wrist, and all the honors from the Crown that could be bestowed upon him. Yes, Belicista seemed to be envied by an man he met -- but perhaps this was a bad thing.

It was a warm night in the early days of June when one of Belicista's guardsmen, making rounds aboard the Baron's great ship in the harbor of Port Royal, claims that he noticed the door to the Baron's cabin eerily open. Walking inside, he saw a sight of destruction -- furniture tossed over in it's place, glass shattered across the lavish satin carpet, and the silks of the gods tossed violently on the ground. But perhaps the most gruesome sight was not the evils done to the tapestry, but perhaps the bloodied, mangled corpse of the Baron lying in a pool on the floor.

And now, on the eve of a new day in the Caribbean, the question is not only who murdered the Baron - but, why?

In PNC's June Guild Event, pirate's who sign up will be assigned the role of one of the characters in our story. Your role may range from a soldier, to a British official, to even a lowly peasant, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Once all the roles have been assigned, that's where the fun begins.

As time goes on, the characters in our story will begin to "interact" with each other through developments in the story (which will be posted by myself.) It is based off of these developments that the members in our game will begin to contemplate who murdered the Baron (your character may have killed him, and you won't even know!) and it is by this you on your own time will speak with others to try and figure out who you should conspire against!

At the end of every phase in our story, you will send to me a vote as to who you want to see... "interrogated" in the story. This will continue until you finally catch the killer -- but does the story end there? Well.... I can't tell you that!

Roles will be handed out on a first-come, first serve basis. To register, just post below - remember, PNC members ONLY! Registration will end on Friday, June 10th!
