Guide to Growing a Guild
Want a big guild with lots of friendly members? I hope this guide helps!
![]() First of all, try to start the guild when you are around Notoriety Lv 10 or less. You'll find lots of Unlimited Access members that are around that level, looking for a guild. Invite 7-8 of those and see how they respond. After a week, boot the ones that are not on much and not leveling fast, and keep the ones that are doing good. Invite 4 more members. Repeat the same process in one week, this time not inviting any more members. Boom! You have a 10 perosn guild with members that you enjoy, and they enjoy each other. Invite more members that are near your level as you go. Once your guild has about 15 members that you like a lot, and your guild members are not causing much (if any) trouble, ask Batleth or Nick for a sub-forum for your guild. That will attract lots of people if they like the information you provide in the subforum. You can also ask Jack Ironmalley for an ad in the PotCO Report. Because the Report reaches a very wide array of people, lots of people will visit your subforum, and, chances are, you'll get 4-5 more signups. You can also try to recruit members from other guilds. Don't do it too much though, but if they ask, you need to respond. This whole process will take about a month, but in the end you will have a guild with about 20 members (still growing too!), with 4-10 online at a time. Make sure you get nice and friendly members. You don't want any big arguments going on in the guild. Trust me, I've had it, and it's not fun. Sometimes you have to boot a good friend because they cause trouble. But in the end, it's worth it, because you have a GREAT group of pirates, all near your level, willing to help you or other members. This is the joy of being a pirate, having a great guild. Enjoy.

Instead of just inviting random people and booting them if they don't fit your needs, why don't you play with people first, and then invite them.
Not everyone levels fast, but that doesn't make them a good guild member. I'm not leveling as fast as others, but that's because I help others a lot, and chat probably too much

Yep, I agree with rose. Those random people you invite, are almost always annoying and don't follow your rules.
