The Reason You Cannot Control The Black Pearl!
Well mates, I did it I captured the pearl and sank goliath. Now I know all this talk about glitching with the pearl in the mission to capture her. I believed it myself when I tried to drive it. Aye, she was bouncing all over the place! Ar, u'd think it was the game right? WRONG!!!! On the next quest you go to see sparrow and Gibbs talking about the pearl. Jack says, to control the wind is to control her destiny!! I figured that means, you are unable to control the wind around the ship as it is a very powerful one!! The next quest is your hunt to find the headstone or somthing that allows you to controll the wind and drive the pearl. Disney really is creative, its NOT the game. They are just asking you to use your brain a little bit, just think about it. WHY IS THE BLACK PEARL THE FASTEST SHIP IN THE CARIBBEAN? Just think. Well every ship is pushed by the wind, right? And all wind is the same right? So how is it that a massive ship like the pearl, can catch up to a war sloop such as the interceptor, given the same wind? Well, that question is answered. The black pearl has a special wind that only 2 known men can control, Sparrow and Barobssa. Obviously you will drive the pearl, but you need the KEY TO HER DESTINY! Which is the point of the next quest which I'm not sure is completed yet, but I will soon find out! Hope this explained your questions, and agression twords the game. Aye, the winds have shifted! The secrets of the Black Pearl are no more. Take what ye can! Give nothing back!! YOHO Mateys

It's a good theory, but I don't think it's correct. It's the game, as the poster above me said, they tried to fix the "glitch".

i guess
I guess ur right, but i can't go along with the crowd like eveyone else. It is a good theory though isn't it, it does fit, but I just can't understand how they did such a good job on the whole game and screwed up the last level. I mean why wait until the good part to mess up, it can't be too different than the regular game to make, could it? I just can't understand that they didn't fix it from the beta version! Isn't that what a BETA is for, to test out the game and see what doesn't work, you guys tell me you were beta testers. So YOHO mateys, YOHO!

Well, it's a very logical explanation. I honestly think you've come up with something. Maybe, in the future, there will be some sort of thing whoch will help you possibly control the wind? It's a wild chance, but who says it will never happen? Nobody knows yet!

They fixed a lot of the beta issues before launch. It's tough to do everything, especially since players pick out flaws more than anything else. There's a lot do to still, but VR is making good progress.

That's a good comment. I think there needs to be a wind controlling quest that is a seperate quest. It should come at about Level 23.

I disagree. Two identical ships will travel at the same speed in the same wind. Two *different* ships will travel at *different* speeds in the same wind. The top speed of a wind-propelled ship will be heavily dependent on the size/weight of the craft, number/size/placement/orientation of the sails, shape/hydrodynamics of the hull contacting the water, direction of travel relative to the wind, etc etc etc. Suffice it to say that the BP being faster or slower than any other ship than the BP is perfectly legitimate and based on nothing more than aero- & hydro- dynamics.

Dude, relax, its just a theory. No need to throw all this hydro whatever stuff in here, first of all us kids have no idea what your talking about, and second of all, I thought there was another teachers forum a few blocks down. It is a guess, I was hoping people would put down there guesses not make fun of mine.
. Ar! and YOHO

EERaider, I think it's a great possibility. Politely criticize his theory instead of angrily attacking him!
