Welcome to my guide to POF (Pirates Online Forums)! If you're wondering about a few things, I'm here to help. You can PM me with any other help you need, otherwise please refer to my guide. Have fun!


Main Navigation Buttons:

Home - takes you to the home page, where you can view news, stats, and more.
Forums - puts you to the forums page, where all the posting begins!
Gallery - in the Gallery you can post and browse photos.
Blogs - create your own blog. Post in it to track your day-to-day adventures.
Arrrcade - POF's arcade. Play some classics as well as modern games.
User Pages - browse through some member's user pages.
Register - the button you would use if you're viewing this thread and you're not registered. Please register before you move on!

Second Row Buttons:

User CP - your forum control panel. Update all your info and preferences here.
Upgrade Account - donate to POF and get more access (more PM's, etc.)
Members List - view all the names and profiles of registered members.
Casino - ***New*** Gamble some of your **Virtual** cash.
New Posts - see recent posts made my members.
Search - use this button to search for guides, help, or threads made.
Quick Links - can take you to many different places. They call it Quick for a reason!
Log Out - if you're on a shared/public computer, use this button when you leave.

Far Right Info Center:

View your Private Messages, your last visit time, and change your mood here.

How to Post:

To post, click on the Quick Reply button at the bottom right of any post. It is shaped like a page with an arrow on it. Type your message, then click Submit Quick Reply. You can add an icon to your post if you want by filling in the dot of the icon of your choice. To get more advanced options for your post, click "Reply" on any post in a thread.

How to make a Thread:

Choose the forum you'd like to place your thread in (read the title and description carefully to make sure your thread fits in that category), then click the "New Thread" button on the left side of your screen. Write what you want (nothing inappropriate please), choose an icon, then click "Submit New Thread". Voila! Your thread will appear on the page, and you'll be taken to your post.

Thanks, Columbiano. I was hoping if the staff like the guide they could add a link to it on the home page to help new users find there way around POF. It's a great site with lots of features, the thing is knowing how to use the features
