Missing with my cutlass

Has anyone noticed (or is it just me) my cutlass is lvl 6 now but I've found when I engage a enemy soldier or grunt over lvl 12 (it seems) my cutlass misses every time, but they still manage to kill me LOL. Even when there are others in battle with me. Under lvl 12 and it works fine.
Anyone???

Have you upgraded your Cutlass? (bought a new one)

Yes - I had that same problem but upgrading it seems to help in attacking higher levels.

Have you also noticed that when you (for example) are level 20, level 10 enemies and lower can no longer hit you?

Works both ways I guess lol
