Your Weapon Belt; What to use, and when to use it!
Ahoy mates! This is my first guide, and I hope I do well on it. Here I will be discussing when to use certain weapons, and the pros and cons of them. Enjoy!
Swords Ahh the sword. A pirate's best friend in combat. Nothing can ever take a pirate away from his or her trusty sword. Its always there for you, that sharp piece of metal. Perfect for drawing blood, and causing your enemies pain. There are three types: the cutlass, the sabre, and the broadsword. Each is used differently. Cutlass The trusty cutlass! This is by far the oldest weapon in the game. It is also your best friend. The cutlass is a medium strength blade. It is a good sword for almost any situation. It can hit one enemy at a time. When to use it: The best time to use a cutlass is when you are trying to loot one enemy at a time. As long as you don't sweep, you can stay focused on that one enemy. It does more damage than the saber, so the enemy will go down faster, but you won't have to worry about it hitting other foes, like a broadsword. For these reasons, it is ideal for fighting bosses such as Darkhart. Sabre The sabre. It is a light blade, able to preform weaker attacks, but many more. With it, you can make quick slashes at your enemy, slowly but surely bringing them to their knees. It hits one enemy at a time. When to use it: Due to the Sabre's weak attacks, it is ideal when you are training your sword. As many of you know, the more attacks you do on an enemy, the more rep you get. Therefore, since you would do more hits with a sabre, you would be getting more rep. It is also good for slower looting, if you like to take your time going through your foes. Broadsword The mighty broadsword! This massive sword can cut through multiple enemies with one slash. It's power is by far stronger than the cutlass or saber. And, when you fight with it, it looks like your dancing! How cool is that?! When to use it: The broadsword must have been forged for two reasons: Invasions are the first. When you have all those pesky skeletons getting near your barricade, you can run at them swinging your broadsword, getting them close to you. Then, finish them with a set of combos. The fact that it hits more than one enemy is extremely helpful. Also, it is perfect for boarding flagships for the same reasons as invasions. Over all, it is a good weapon when you are fighting multiple enemies. I still have a long way to go, and I will be updating the guide as time goes on! Post your comments please! Great Guide Davy! I agree with Luckie. Some pictures would be awesome! A little advice, when posting a category like Sabre, Broadsword and Cutlass tell us what certain weapon we should consider looking for.

Sorry for such a long wait. And I will get some pictures in soon, but for now....
Guns BOOM HEADSHOT! The gun! Ranging from a tiny flintlock pistol to a mighty blunderbuss! Next to a sword, a gun is something to keep handy! This device takes small amounts of gunpowder, lights them, which causes it to combust, releasing energy, which drives a round piece of metal forward, through the barrel, and into the target. In other words, you pull the trigger, gun goes boom, bullet hits enemy. But remember the pirate code mates! You cannot use guns against the living! Now, lets move to the specific types of guns... Pistol The classic single barrel. Quite handy at a moments notice. These guns range from crude flintlocks to famed Bush Masters, all are good guns. These guns can only fire a single shot before you need to reload. Reload time is quite short, as all you need to do after firing is throw in another bullet. These guns have a medium attack. When to use it: The best time to use these guns is when you are training, as you will get more rep with their slightly weaker attacks. Also, they can be used if you are in an area where you are unlikely to get more than one hit on the enemy, such as Abassa Darkhart. Here is a screenshot of a simple flintlock pistol sold in a shop: ![]() Repeaters Next on our list is the Repeater Pistol, or just Repeater. These are similar to normal pistols, but with one big difference. These ones have multiple barrels, so you can fire more than once and you won't need to reload. The majority of repeaters have three barrels, but you can find some with two. Obviously, you should be looking for those three barreled ones. These guns usually will have less attack than normal pistols, mainly because you can fire multiple shots without reloading. When to use it: These pistols are probably the best for training. You can take out enemies efficiently, but still get lots of rep. A tip would be to load only lead shots, and then fire away! An example would be a steel repeater. Here is a screenshot of one shown in a shop. ![]() Musket Muskets. These are very handy weapons to have. They have incredibly long range and have quite high attack power. The one downside to muskets is that if you are too close to an enemy, you cannot fire your gun. When you are using it, make sure that you are a far distance away from your enemy. They can only fire one shot before reloading, and their reload speed is fair. When to use it: The musket is an ideal weapon for invasions. If you are one who doesn't like to get too close to your foes, just stand back and fire away. Chances are that those skeletons will be preoccupied with the pirates in the front lines, so they won't go after you. However, you should always have a melee weapon handy, in case they do come close to you. These weapons are also good for fighting bosses in groups. If you just want to stand back and let your friend take the front lines, use a musket. Here is a screenshot of a Royal Musket, sold in a store on Padres Del Fuego ![]() Bayonet Truth be told, the Bayonet is really the same as the musket, but with two differences. The first is that the bayonet has just a slightly longer range. The second is the big difference. For all you blade lovers who hate guns because you can't use them up close, hate no more! The Bayonet is equipped with a short blade on the end. To use it, all you need to do is get up close to that enemy and start clicking. You will automatically start stabbing away. The best part, you can even stab the living with this weapon. Still though, you cannot shoot. When to use it: Same as musket, or if you really want to fight the living to train your gun. An example of a bayonet is the Master's Bayonet, sold on Padres Del Fuego: ![]() Blunderbuss Last, but definitely not least out of the guns is the mighty blunderbuss. This mighty gun fires one blast that fires multiple bullets. Similar to the Grape Shot cannon ammo, it fires multiple shots, which can hit multiple foes. The blunderbuss has extremely high attack, and can hit multiple targets because of its Scattershot. Unfortunately, we gotta balance that high attack out. The blunderbuss takes a very long time to reload, and its range is quite short. Other than those two, the blunderbuss is something that is a must for all weapon stashes. When to use it: The blunderbuss is ideal if you are looking to take down large enemies in a short amount of time, such as for looting or for a quest. Also, these guns can be used during invasions if you want to get rid of large amounts of enemies fast. Their high attack power can easily take down waves of enemies. Also, for you PvPers, this gun can be used to deal some quick, high damage to your opponent, but you should be careful of its slow reloading speed. An example of a blunderbuss is a Royal Blunderbuss, sold in a shop on Padres Del Fuego: ![]() That would be my second entry. More to come mates! |

You should crop the weapon cards out to make it smaller.

Nice guide.
I use sabre all the time (well, occasionally broadsword for PvP, so I can easily jump around and hit the enemy) as I believe that, though the attacks are less powerful, it's speed makes up for it. However, the sabre can be kinda hard to use as it has strange timing on it. I generally use a repeater pistol in regular training or invasions. I will use a blunderbuss if I want to show off (LOL!) and a musket in Jolly Roger stage of invasions (shoots from a distance, he cant hurt me as much) |

Hey Davy, you missed something about the saber.
As some of you know, when you hit an enemy with any kind of attack, they are stunned for about one second. When you have a saber, you can stun them a lot, so its good for pvp. also if you are fighting a hard enemy, you wont hurt as much if you use a cutlass or broadsword. Thats my two cents, hope it helps! |
