That's my same thought.
Be pateint, I'm pretty sure a class similar to the Black Pearl and the Ship of the Line will enter the game eventually. Disney will only increase the money they make and the amount of players they have if they introduce bigger, and badder ships for us to use. I'm almost 100% sure we'll be able to sail the ship of the line by the end of the year. Maybe not the BP, but I'm pretty sure. |

I wonder, if we found that galleon glitch again, could you take it over?

Just as well, the Goliath has this design, although a bit different. If you got up close to the SotL ( They will not engage on you as other NPC ships do when you get close, but do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, fire at them ), you will see that there are a pair of dinghies in the center of the ship, and the stairs are more fancier looking.
Here's my idea of having the ship ( If Disney ever decides to let us have one ): To be able to earn this ship, you must have done both of the following: 1: Finished the Boss Battle. 2: Reached Lv45. This ship is a reward to those who have mastered their pirate. Note that you do not have to max out ALL your weapons. You must earn this ship through a quest. It isn't too long, but it is a bit difficult. It requires you to fight many high level creatures, and collect many things for Darby Drydock. Once you have collected these items, you will earn your ship. Rep gain ranges from 200-1500. Ship Restrictions and Limitations: 1: You must be at least Lv30, and have a sailing level of Lv15 to sail this ship. 2: You must be at least Lv5 to board a ship of this type. 3: Ship cannot be sold. You will also earn an extra bottle to hold this ship ( In case you already have 3 ships - most likely, you will ). Ship Stats Example: Shadow Cobra Royal Ship Hull: 17000 Speed: 16600 Cargo: 20 Cannons: 16 ( 8 on each side ) Shipmates: 14 Broadsides: 24 ( 12 On each side ) What do you guys think? The Goliath does have this design(similar anyways) too! I did't think of that. But I do not agree with the whole lvl 50 thing! Everything else yes, but I think they should do like a storyline quest thing for this ship, or maybe just let us pirates buy it. For 80000 gold. And they will make a new gold cap so we can get this ship. Thats my idea, but i have to say yours is really good!

What would basically make any of these ships AMAZING is if we are able to customize them in innumerable ways, and if the entire ship was fully explorable.
I still believe however that the ships need to cost more than at least a few hundred-thousands, and should have loads of cannons for several cannoneers on it, just as i feel the current warships should have a bigger crew. |

Yeah, I totally agree! I think we should have like cannons under the top deck, and different rooms, and be able to costumize it. Cause its really getting boring with the plain ships they have now, and everyone has the same one. I really hope they get something new soon! |

It would be great to have.
Raise the Gold Cap to 100 K and charge 80 K like Captain Elizabeth suggested or even 95 K. A decent quest is a fine idea and, of course, unlimited only. After a couple of years, I really am a little tired of my poor old, plain vanilla war ships that look just like everyone else's... |

Yeah it's time for us to have some newer ship types.

I'd prefer the ability to own a fleet of ships (say, 100 war frigates) rather than a fourth bottle. To this day, I can't see any valid reason for limiting it to 3. (Same thing for the clothing wardrobe...why not 100 shirts, 100 hats...?)
Putting notoriety restrictions on something directly related to sailing level, is a bad idea IMHO. Probably not technically possible anyway (at least, not without a dozen new glitches, bugs or exploits.) Adding quests is always a good idea, though. Of note: back in the old days, there was a glitch to sail the Black Pearl on the high seas. Some of the Disney videos feature people sailing the Black Pearl around Devil's Anvil fighting EITC ships. It would be really cool if they restored that functionality. |

Here's my thought. Yes, I'd love to have a ship of the line. But not until they put out bigger ships to fight. What's the point of taking a ship of the line out against a Behemoth or Dreadnought. I can fight those just fine in even a simple frigate.
As for the gold cap. They will either raise it past 150K or eliminate it all together. Look at the rate the ship prices go up. A Light Frigate is 500 I believe. I may be wrong on that one. A Standard Frigate is 5K. A War Frigate is 60K. In my opinion they wouldn't make a ship of the line cost anything less than 100K. Probably more based on the rate of price increase. (Sorry, yeah, gonna inflict math on you guys here.) Between a Light and a Standard frigate is 1,000% price increase. From a Standard to a War Frigate is a 1,200% price increase. So then following that a Ship of the Line should be a 1,400% increase, or 840,000 gold. Now that would be pushing it in the extreme don't ya think? Even 1,000% increase would still be a 600K ship. Now, a 500% increase would land a 300K ship. If the gold cap were eliminated all together, then that would be a reasonable price to pay for such a serious ship. I do agree that you should have higher qualifications to get it, but only say level 20 sailing. No limit on who can get on it, who can sail it and such. Simply if you have the money and the level 20 sail, you can get it. It would certainly give all the currently max gold people something to work for. Final thought, yes, a new ship would be very nice indeed. But before any of that a second story chapter, that follows recovering the Pearl. That's a whole nother thread, so I'll leave that alone. So there's my two pieces of eight on this.
