Why we should never be afk...
Hey here r some reasons why we should NEVER be afk. even in a safe area.
1. An enemy can come up and attack u like a practice dummy 2. u might get banned (its happened on other disney sights like club penguin) 3. u might get sent to jail and get groggy. 4. people might think its funny to use U as a practice dummy 5. If your on YOUR ship and afk it might sink! well thats about it and if you can think of any others let me know!

I don't think that you can really "demand" people to stop being AFK. I mean really, it sounds like you're putting a lot of hate on people who are AFK. Besides, there are easy ways around this:
1. Hide in a safe place, or teleport to another Island, though you state that a safe place isn't safe, there are good safe spots which are always reliable. For example, if you need a safe spot on Isla Tormenta, just go to where the dig spot is, you'll never get attacked. In my opinion, the only places you should be concerned about AFKing in are places with the safe layout as El Sudoron, or King's Run. 2. I can't see a reason for getting banned just for being AFK. I can understand being banned if you're one of those people so desperate to get into Abassa, that you get in, and you just keep the game running for 14 hours over night. But other than that, I really don't see why; you'll need to elaborate. 3. Refer to workaround #1. 4. In this game, (correct me if I'm wrong ), you can't push people, so I don't really care if people just mock me while I'm away. If I see remarks on my chat screen, I can report them.5. Either park towards an island, or go on AFK while you point your ship to the end of the world. Its actually kind of cool to see the message that comes up at the end of the world. ![]() The only AFK people that concern me are the type of people in solution #2-- Those people make Abassa full, which is very rude for people who are actually on, and want to get to Abassa. Though I am rarely in Abassa, I think that it is just incredibly selfish to do that. They sort of get their own joke on them, when their computer dies of exhaustion.

I have no idea why Disney would ban you for being AFK? They put the option to be AFK in the game to be used by people who are "Away From Keyboard". I know many times I have kept the game on to go get a snack, answer the phone, or visit the head to drop off a little "cargo". It is a very handy option, I have been AFK on my own ship many times while another mate takes the wheel who might need to level, and does not have a war-ship. You can go AFK and be more than safe on the new Port Royal or Tortuga just about any place in town, no enemies are going to pop up and bite you outside the Rowdy Rooster. Now you can be moved while AFK, I have been moved and moved other AFK players (good friends from guild only though). I do not see any issue with being AFK, and people who just leave the game running constantly while being AFK for hours at a time are going to waste a great deal of their systems life span doing nothing.

I have left my pirate AFK for a whole day before, they do not ban anyone for being AFK. What would the offense be? Besides the way I play with mouse instead of keyboard, my pirate appears [AFK] half the time while im running around and attacking.
AFK relocation is a big hit for the exceedingly bored in this game, but usually only done to friends. Yes you can move/push people. |

Yeah, we love it too. We call it Pirate Tipping.
We even made a contest for it.

My only objection to AFK is during the recent GM events. I have noticed the specified oceans usually fill up sometimes a day ahead of the event and block people trying to participate. Other than that I don't see any down side or problem with going AFK.

I was once AFK, and I came back dazed at the bottom of a cliff! Some of those pushers are really cruel. Another time, I came back to see my pirate in boxers. Now that was just ridculous!
In a non-fictitious manner now, I wonder if it is possible to push peolpe into enemies. Heck, it'd be like pushing them to jail. That'd be great for a game of monopoly. |

One thing I am going to mention about AFK pushing. It is a favorite pasttime in DW guild, but , WE ONLY PUSH GUILDMATES! Random pushing of anyone who is AFK is just plain RUDE!

I only ever go AFK in safe spots.
Unless it's a big group of friends moving each other when they go afk, I treat it as griefing. If you push another player near an enemy to watch them die, I think reporting someone for that should be a-okay. I can see why people do that when they're bored but only if it's for fun around a group of friends. I'm glad a lot of guilds mention that they only push fellow guild mates. I really don't want to end up in a jail cell because someone thought it would be funny to push me. |

I think it'd be funny to leave and come back to find yourself in a jail cell with a bunch of other afk people. The implications... oh goodness.
