I want to know something!!
For those of you that feel that using wall hacks/glitches to level weapons.....Just how in the heck are we supposed to level or master nades?
I want to hear from the people who MASTERED them without using a glitch (including the KH fence). IMO If anyone calls someone a cheater for using other glitches to level weapons but used the fence Isnt that the pot calling the kettle black? Seriously I want to know how the high amd mighty did it...... |

Well poor Sven doesn't use glitches to level and that's probably why it's his only unmastered weapon. Now i'm afraid he may never EVER get there.
Perhaps is they "correct" hex eater (let the enemy SLOWLY regenerate voodoo) i might have a chance...but only if i'm feeling particularly "grindy". |

I used the fence for as long as I could get good rep, then I went to Tormenta. Since my first Pirate was pretty much a loner, I used a second computer to log onto my second account and used one my other pirates to heal while he leveled. Then I used pirate 1 to heal pirate 2. I don't know if that would be considered cheating or not.
My third Pirate had help from friends and guildmates healing while he leveled as will my 4th pirate. |

I doubt if there is anyone who has lvl'd up grenades without using at the very least the Kings Head fence (I harbor the suspicion that KH fence is not a glitch but designed to be used for lvling). My only complaint is against glitchers who pull enemies I'm fighting to get rep from away from me. If they do their thing and let me do mine then I have no problem.
Yes I agree, grenades are way to hard to lvl and I feel whatever works as long as it doesn't interfere with other players is ok. And of course this is just one of the problems caused by the screwy of calculating weapon rep in POTCO. |

I've used glitches as long as I've played the game, not understanding early on that they were glitches. The old (and long since fixed) Giant Crabs on Rumrunners, the KH fence, the KH invisibility/invincibility. I found one the other day by accident that was new to me. I glitched into the center rock on Outcast and naded/threw daggers at the Stumps.
I also learned last night that if you nade General Darkhart on PDF beach (the one that stands at the top of the ramp in front of the entrace to the tailor) he attacks infrequently and doesn't do much damage. Don't know if that qualifies as a glitch but you can bet I'll use it. It's a game. If there's bugs in it I can use I will, as long as I'm not interferring with other players. *edited to say that in spite of this, if, as Zep points out, the glitches are affecting game performance for all players (such as lag), then I think they should all be eliminated. I'd miss them, but I'd much rather have smooth play* |

Who hasn't leveled at Kingshead? It's the practical location to pick up for those who venture here. I mean, as it stood, we could use voodoo enemies, but, as it stands, we can't use voodoo enemies.
Lessee here: we use Traps to get to 4. We could do a Trap boss or somethin of the sort. |

I discovered a perfect way to level 'nades for you high levels, 35+.
Bosses. I was in Beckett's Quarry where that boss is behind a rail. So I decided to throw a grenade at him. He couldn't come down though, but if he did they can only move so far I guess. So he stood there and I continued throwing. I got about 105 rep with crew bonus! Trust me, bring at least somebody with siege there cuz his hp doenst move down that fast. |

To be honest, I could never work the fence at KH so I won't miss it. I started working in the other direction with them after a guildmate showed me how. Stand behind and to the right of the group on the parade ground. Lob a grenade at the middle guy in the back row and back up towards the corner of the fort. If all goes right and your aim is adjusted (that is the hardest thing to get used to with Grenades) you should be able to take out the group with 5 or 6 grenades and only take a couple of hits. Assuming they stay together as a group and don't go wandering off.

As I'm sure you've read I've been optspoken a few times this week about how the latest fixes are a joke... so the answer here is just to answer the question. Of course the way I did it was Hex Shot and the Gypsys at Padres Beach - but only until I got up a few levels to get Firebomb. Then Gernades just beacme part of my 500 REP Weapon Rotation (Instructed by Ironhawk... we're gonna miss that Hex Shot ).As part of the rotation, the gerds would pull in about 50-60 REP in their part of the cycle, more once other weapons began to master and were left out of the rotation... So thats how I did it (and the reason being... I was TERRIBLE at the fence... I couldnt hit the broadside of a barn with them things! LOL )

No High and Mighty Here...
Worked the traps to lev four, then camped out at the fence on KH for a few days. Now...I consider nades maxed at lev 20. I got siege, yay me, DONE. The irony lies in that I'm really good at nades...I can back run, side step, pivot, toss, and not miss a thing. I just HATE them. Pity. Max, you should have asked, I've given countless lessons at the fence...oh well. Who want's a dancing with the grenades lesson?

One of my friends on pirates online mastered grenades the old fashion way but...
He mastered them before the rep was cut. He told me it was hard but he knows it was easier then than now. My grenades are level fifteen. I don't plan on using wall hacks. I'll master it the old fashion way. It is hard but I'm getting there. Sarah: Wow really? You got that giant grenade? Well I think if you can do it I can to. (With long hours and work)

I didn't mean to sound so snippy in my OP. I was just Poed because I read in so many places today that anyone who uses ANY glitch was a cheater. I wanted to vent LOL.
Since everyone put in their two cents on how they did it , I'll add mine. I have finially mastered all weapons leave cuttlass....yes including nades. When I first got them I got into the KH invincible glitch. I then just stood in the middle of the platoon until they all turned green. I didn't have to worry about nading myself to death LOL. I then moved to the lava pit in the catacombs. At first there I had to only use the first raider and Officer. Then as I progressed I could use the second then third group all at once. Took about a week straight but I made it. As for my doll, thanks to the rep chart posted I learned WHICH curses to use. I logged on both pirates and hit the platoon on KH. Even as grey tags If I attuned all 5 I could get 100 rep per vet. (just ask the wenches...They saw me do it.) So at 100 each times 5....Then add the 20 percent crew bonous I was getting 600 rep per cycle on the platoon.....EASY way to master doll LOL. So in NO way am I high and mighty I used every advantage I had to master my weapons.... Now for a good laugh....Jezz is 38 with everything mastered but Sail, Cutt, and Cannon.....The cannons are only a level nine LMBO!!! She aint even got lightening....... |

I too don't believe per say that the KH fence is a glitch...hiding in a wall or in an area that's not supposed to be reachable to me is...my theory is face your enemy...don't hide like a coward stuck in a wall...or pop out last minute after someone else has done all the hard work just so you can get a hit or two in when the enemy is practically defeated...
You can only go so far with KH, so from there the best place would probably be Menta...even with Hex Eater fixed, if you get the attention of 3 Molusks at the same time, they'll basically follow you and more or less line up...easy nading there... Plus make sure you have a crew...the more the merrier and it adds to the rep...and remember the smoke grenade is your friend...wear them down with it before using a different one... |
