Flagships?
I haven't seen any flagships on the High Seas lately. Did they discontinue them from the game?

I have seen various flag ships, so i dont think so, although i do believe they added more spawns, or moved locations a bit, i dont know, so ive found diff ships in different areas than before.

Since the Update, flagships have moved to different places. There's now a Barracuda flag off the coast of Perdida instead of Driftwood, and a Man O War flag right behind Kingshead.

Are there any more Bulwark, Panther, Greyhound, and Vanguard Flags?

The Navy Bulwark, Panther, Greyhound, and Centurion flagships were removed. The EITC Ironwall was also removed.
The Barracuda was placed at Brigand Bay/Isla Perdida. The Kingfisher was placed at Scurvy Shallows/Blackheart Strait/Rumrunner's Isle. The Colossus was placed at Dead Man's Trough/Isla Tormenta. The Man-O-War was placed at Smuggler's Run/Kingshead. The Corvette can still generally be found at Leeward Passage/Outcast Isle, but it now moves throughout its travel range continually rather than just staying south of Outcast all the time. Its usual run is to Kingshead and back to Outcast. The Sentinel is often at Dead Man's Trough/Isla Tormenta now, but it is also frequently found sailing back through the Leeward Passage and toward Boiling Bay/Padres Del Fuego.. I haven't caught it respawning since the update, so I'm still not sure it remained at Boiling Bay or perhaps moved to Dead Man's Trough. |

That should have been the same old EITC Corvette. It was always capable of traveling from Outcast, passed the south side of Cutthroat Isle, just about to the voodoo doll icon to the west of Kingshead. That's where it turns around and starts sailing back toward Outcast, but it keeps a course due west across Smuggler's Run until it's south of Port Royal and then it turns back toward Outcast.
I have to admit that I do feel a bit responsible for getting the smaller flagships removed. Apparently, they were deemed to give too much reward for too little risk. I liked the shuffling around, for example I think it makes more sense to have the Man-O-War at Kingshead instead of the Centurion. I wish they hadn't just pulled them though. I don't understand why the EITC Ironwall had to go at all; based on the boardings that I reported, it was a fair risk for the reward. I also don't see why they couldn't have beefed up the crew pools for some of the Navy ships, and then add something new like a Vanguard and/or Monarch flagship...or even a Predator. |

It is too bad they removed the smaller Flagships - they were good 'exercise building' ships for lower levels to get used to Crippling, Hooking and Boarding - and because they gave a little more 'money' (usually with a chest) they made a good run...
Had they just 'moved' the spawning points and the 'end positions' of the Bull and the Greyhound that would of made it more challenging (their starting positions together at Devils Anvil was too easy - and then the Greyhound and the Kingfisher sailed together just off PR? That was a mis-calculation). Higher Level Players never bothered with them (for the most part - no REP in it... and a Chest and a Crate from a Bull when a Higher Player could get a Royal Chest or Two off the Man-O-War or Colossus plus decent REP meant you didn't want to waste the cargo hold with these smaller ships) so they would of been good for the Lower Player Experience... They should of never been removed, just positioned better *shrug*

I think they lower lvl flags are in a bad position, I mean why did they put them around such high ships? Vette flag surrounded by lvl 30 ships?

I also thought the smaller vessels made for nice trainers to show people the ropes, and I also agree that a big part of the problem was simply having the Navy Bulwark, Greyhound, and Kingfisher all crammed into the Windward Passage (along with most of the player traffic on any given ocean).
Also, Scurvy Shallows/Bloody Bayou/Driftwood Island formerly had both the EITC Barracuda and the Navy Panther. They never seemed to be targets that the same ship would want to work together, and the waters never seemed active enough to merit two entirely different levels of flagship. I do think that better redistribution would have accomplished more than total removal. |

If Disney is trying to make boarding lower lvl ships a challenge, they aren't doing a very good job.
