what does fury do?

can someone tell me what fury does i have heard that it weakens the ships defences rapidly but i just want to make sure.

The nutshell version......it does major damage....a must have.

It's a ( MUCH ) stronger version of Round Shot. Same effect, works on both hull and sails too.
It's a tri-shot. It has no other effect but damage.

Sideeffects though include the bright blinding light for Ship vs. Ship crews getting hit with it, so it's effective in Privateering.

But, its main function - DAMAGE. Unlike Thunderbolt with its one shot and modest reload time, Fury is QUICK reload and you can pump out three rounds as fast as your skill will allow.

Nothing you don't want fury its a evil shot it will blind you and if you have a slow PC it will make it crash!
I only have 1 skill point in it i would never recommend maxing it or ever being nice to it.

If you want a strong cannon skill
max shoot,
round shot, barrage,
and rapid reload
it makes broadsides super strong (makes them stronger than maxing board sides but, maxing board sides for sailing also increases the damage )and when using round shot it never runs out of ammo

Fury can only carry a max of 125 shots which will run out in 2 1/2 minutes if your in major svs. .

it's my understanding that fury works only on the hull of the ship so when firing against eitc, navy and skellies you'll need to aim at the hull. I don't recall it doing much damage to sails.

If i'm working cannon i'll always demast a ship with lightning then take it out with round shot to max my rep. so fury, as much damage as it can do, i rarely use.

In SvS however fury is king. yes it does cause some lag and your results will vary in regards to how much. However if SvS is your thing then you'll want to max fury.

Fury is really only usefull in pvp, but yes, it pumps HUGE damage. Downside, you run out too quickly

you pirates speak of this `fury' when u don't know the tale of it.us agter working in a secret temple for 13 yrs, i invented a powerful crystal justb4 i fled to the caribbean with it and met jolly roger who payed me well for it. he fired it from a cannon and spectral shot of magic flew behind a black face. soon many pirates got it from the stolen ships of the undead armada an began making more of it by travelling to the Stolerian quarry in a wild isle.

fury really damages the hull immensely.. i use it now... my goal for cannoning is this:
strip the masts with thunderbolt level 5 :P
then i use fury level 3 and knock it senseless
