Are you planning to cancel?

bout that time to ask again

I am starting to get really bored with POTC online and will probably be canceling at the end of this month, I am not a bit online game players so other people may think differently but for me at least I have been playing for 4+ months now and it is all just getting too repetetive sink some ships, kill some enemy etc etc

even the quests are just too repetive and dont take to you to any new enemy or to places you have not been 1000's of other times.

Well i can't really vote on this pole bc i play on the test server. but i agree that is is waaaaay to repeatative. it was funner when i hadn't finished the black pearl quest. I just hope the next story chapter comes out soon along with more enemies, weapons, ships, skills, etc.

Already canceled. This game just has no holding power. Once you hit 40 there's nothing to do, literally. I ended up jumping around PDF spamming cutlass chains all day while waiting in 1+ hour pvp queue times for horribly lopsided team selection. Their only end game option at the moment is pvp and it's horribly bug ridden, they dont keep lifetime stats on it, and the pairing is unbelievably unbalanced.

Most fanatics of the game would say something like, "Start a new pirate to pass time until the summer expansion comes out". Sure,I could level up another character to 40 in a few weeks. Fighting the same mobs, doing the same quests, using the same weapons with the same skills. . .where's the fun in that? Not to mention I could get stuck with a bugged grenade quest (been unattended to for a month now) and have to delete the character and start over.

To top everything off the customer support is a complete joke, I have no idea why they even pay people to do the job. Every live chat I went into the CSR either blew off my question, gave me an automated bogus response, or told me to "send in a bug report". Not a single bug/glitch/change I've been sending to potco for the last month has even been updated on the 'know issues" page. The only problem that was fixed, which I pushed so hard for, was the PvP bug and it took them 3 days to do so. Their support kept telling me my gfx driver was outdated and was causing the problem. . . .for EVERYONE.

How they can keep you people paying for a game of this quality is beyond me. I feel like the 5 dollars and time spent for the first month was a waste.

I have been starting to think about canceling, I agree with what someone said before...their Live Help and email responses are SERIOUSLY lacking when you are in need of help. In my thing of trying to get something solved (like my glitch of my game always crashing when I try to board my crews ship) all they can say is send a bug report and they will get back to me...but they never do. Or when I try to get onto Live Help they NEVER even come into the chat.

At this moment I am only 45% done with the quests because I just don't even want to bother when they don't have HAVE the boss battle completed..not to mention the serious lags on servers and such. Disney just seems to have dropped the ball on the game and I don't want to keep forking out my money to just hang out with my friends in the pirate verse.

Ya know, i think this problem stems from the marketing strategies. Disney realized that PotCO wasn't pulling enough subscribers and decided to spend money on some good media marketing (mtv commercials etc), offered a FREE limited trial to showcase the game and then a price reduction for the first month. People have every reason to at very least give the game a shot. All of these new players shifted Disney's focus (assuming they ever had one) from the end game to catering to the introduction so new players would subscribe or believe they're enjoying their recent subscription and not immediately cancel. This is probably why the early levels are enjoyable and things like clothing bugs are fixed immediately while the games end game content is non existent. Major oversight, i'm sure it cost them a heavy chunk of change.

I better check my bill date, so I can cancel before the next charge but still get what I paid for ... these guys are unbelievable. I wonder if the DEV's are going to put this "gem" of a game on their resume 's or just try to forget the whole experience like me.

I haven't gotten bored of the game yet but that might be cause I'm only lvl 24.Not only that but I still don't have my grenade quest.I will agree it can be repetitive every now and then.But I still like the game so I'm going to continue to play.

My son likes to play and so do I so we're going to keep playing for a while. He has a friend and they talk on the phone while playing.

I am a bit irritated with the pain of leveling up weapons, especially Cutlass/Dagger/Grenades/Staff. I know it's part of the game...but it does get boring.

I love potco! I will play for a long time, because I actually like repetitive things every once in a while I've been playing since it opened, and it always seems great and full of new opportunities to me!
