Name Approval Among Other Things

A while back I created a new test pirate. I typed in a name and the
game randomly assigned him the name "Freebooter" until his name
is approved.

Some time has passed. Freebooter is now level 29 with enough gold
to buy a war galleon. Last week he started a guild. The game
randomly assigned him a guild number until its name is approved.

I still encounter the same old problems, the soldiers and skeletons
that fall through the floor, the auto-miss of shots at the bounty
hunter ships, the sticky long range grenade throwing problems,
the annoyance of rare items won at sea not showing up in my
inventory, and numerous other bugs and glitches that have been
reported on numerous occasions.

Today when I logged in he was still Freebooter in Guild xxxxx.

I even scanned down to the last feedback address and sent a
"bug report." I got no reply e-mail.

We haven't had a test update since April. Are they doing anything?
Is anybody even there to see our messages when we post them
via the options menu? Has test become a black hole?

Yea... test server takes a lot longer to get names accepted. I think they wait several months to accept them usually, and then accept or decline them all at once. Several months, as in maybe 6 months. PnC started a new test guild at the beginning of the year, maybe December of last year, and it's name wasn't accepted until like June. I also had a few pirates about the same. This might be because there just aren't as many pirates on test as there are on live.

As far as updates, I think they're working on something, but might be taking there time and doing it slowly, it's hard to say.

I was surprised to log in yesterday and found that my pirate's
name was finally approved. It only took until he was level 36,
was totally out of quests, and was working on the second
ship upgrade for his war brig.

I'm counting the days to see how long it will take for them to approve my new pirate's name. Not holding my breath of course, lol. For now, he's just Freebooter.
