R.I.P. Robert B. Shermen
It has come to my attention that Robert Sherman, one half of the Sherman Brothers has passed away.
He and his brother wrote *many* classic Disneyland songs, such as: There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow It's a Small World The Tiki Tiki Tiki Room And co-wrote (with his brother) almost, if not all of the songs for the following films: Mary Poppins The Jungle Book The Aristocats The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh The Tigger Movie And many, many others. He and his brother became Disney legends in 1990, and were awarded the prestigious National Medal of Arts in 2008, the highest honor bestowed upon artists by the USA government. Having grown up listening to his music, and knowing I am not the only one, I feel that it is important to pay my humble respects to his musical genius. "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, Shining at the end of every day." ~The Sherman Brothers R.I.P. Robert B. Sherman 1925-2012 Last edited by Mr. Awesome; 03-07-2012 at 05:35 AM.. |

I heard about this.
Sad that he died, as he was really a big name in Disney. R.I.P. Robert Sherman.
