Ahoy me Buckos!
This section here be the place to submit your ideas you would like to discuss here and In Game before the Brethren Court. These Motions will be voted on In Game and shall be written into The Code if approved. Please reply with your Pirate's Name, Guild Affiliation and Suggestions ONLY in your posts. Let's save the debate and discussion for In Game proceedings as to not clutter up this Thread. THE MAIN PURPOSE of this thread serves as a way for me to collect the suggestions for the Meeting Agenda reguarding Motions Before the Court. ![]() It has been suggested, and I shall reply on her behalf... Trouble from Black Shark Inc. made a great suggestion about open floor speech. When it comes time to open the floor to discussion on a Motion being presented or a matter being discussed, that each mate wishing to speak be given a TIME LIMIT on how long they may hold the floor. This will help move proceedings along accordingly. Last edited by The Skirata Clan; 07-24-2009 at 08:06 PM.. Reason: double post |

In order to keep better control of attendees to the meetings I propose that we adopt a strict RSVP system for attendance.
All attendees must visit the forum prior to the meeting ( I suggest one hour before ) to see the notices posted since the last meet and read the current motions - This itself will help reduce the floor speaking time and help the event run smoother. Whilst visiting the forum at this time Guilds MUST rsvp stating the names of attendees, anyone that did not officially rsvp will be put on ignore by all attending the meeting who have rsvp'd. Thus making their voice invalid, stopping late arrivers disrupting by demanding to know what is happening as well as preventing people just stepping in with points not motioned for the meeting and any other unpleasantries. This should happen alongside the steps that we as individual guilds need to take to prevent uninvited guild members appearing at the meet. Maya Mara - New Padre Pirates Keeper of the Code |

On upcoming Team svs Tourney I would like to hear courts opinion on other programs being used during the contest. The program that will be used by many is team speak. Its a communication advantage to teams to use to speak to eachother if they need help or to target another ship. Like the rest of us we have to remove our fingers from controls to type which is a disadvantage.

Ahoy Mateys!!
I would like to present a way to prevent future interuptions in Court meetings. Report those who are disruptive. They are there to disrupt the good works that are taking place. Some have already used offensive language that is not suitable for the game. I say , report them. A nice vacation most times will cool those jets. When people know that they have a good chance of being reported by some, they tend to zip it. Also , if it is not a reportable offense , feel free to utilize the " ignore " feature. This allows us to keep focused on the agendas the Court presents. Most of us have kids and or are at the age that we know whats right and wrong. Set a good example for the kids in the game by practicing great manors and respecting others. Commodore lvl40 Grand Forty Club G.M. Last edited by Maximvs; 08-04-2009 at 01:11 AM.. FOR MEETING TBH WED 12TH AUGUST
I propose a moment of truth for Guilds to let all present at the meeting know which of them WILL be using talk programmes/external communication programmes at Brethren Court events. Thus allowing us all to make a fair and knowledgeable decision whether or not to partake of events on offer. Question : Does your guild or its members use a talk/external communcation programme? Will you be using it in Brethren Court events? Maya Mara GM New Padre Pirates Keeper of the Court. Last edited by Basil Dreadflint; 08-08-2009 at 04:30 PM.. As I have read we dont need to discuss anything in game that could get us all a ban for the mere chatting of it. This is better left alone or on the forums please.
Themgrind/Pirates of VMK we use voice chat, not often and not for an advantage in combat. |

I agree with Themgrind. I think we should resolve those issues here. And since I won't be available for the 12th...
TSC/The Mandalorians Don't use voice chat, and we are good enough to handle without it. Thus we don't mind who uses it. |

I agree with Themgrind also. I think its best to be left alone or on the forums.
Can't wait to see you all at the meeting woot woot. For the wednesday august 12th meeting I would like to motion that Members of the court who are keepers of the code or hold other such titles if found to have broken the rules of the court be stripped of such titles and not allowed to hold such titles again as well as having their guild being disaplined by the court. I would also like to put forth the motion that the behavior, blatant disrespect, and complete violation of the code by a Member of the court at last weeks svs event be disaplined. I will look into it Roger, I was out of town and I am still trying to get info on last meeting and the reasons as to why the other Keeper was removed. Perhaps she will be reinstated soon.

I want to propose a change in time or day for the meetings. Since there might be some pirates that might have other things in RL to take care of.

Announcment!
Ahoy TBC,
In light of recent occurrences, I have conferred to The Keeper of The Code and as such it is my duty as Chairmen of The Brethren Court to initiate the following action: Motion Before the Court: Guild found in Violation(s) of The Code. Propose a 1 MONTH BAN from TBC functions IN GAME. Propose that Guild Members in Said Guild be removed from The Steering Committee The Guild in Violation will be named IN GAME during the Meeting Charges: Violation of Article I, Sections I, II, & III of The Pirata Codex The Guild in Violation will have Floor Time during the meeting to address these alligations. A Vote will then take place during the meeting to determine the Status of the Guild in Violation of the Code. That is all |

I disagree with the length of the ban. I think we should stick to our policies and extend the ban permanently. I have nothing against the guild found in violation. But this is the second time they commit a fault to The Code. If TBC is trying to be fair and honorable the right thing to do is to remove them as others have been before them. And their member in The Steering Committee should be removed at once. A vote will be pointless being that only me and Rox have seen the evidence of the actions of this guild via PM. I think that this decision should be decided here and between The Steering Committee excluding the vote of the member of their guild.
