Powerpuff Girls Z?- Yup!
Yup, looks like Japan has made an anime spinoff of everyone's favorite american cartoon, "The Powerpuff Girls". Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup now appear in cute anime forms, and I personally think they are awesome!! ^^ The story goes like this: Professer Utonium, and his son Ken were experimenting with the mysterious "Chemical X", and while experimenting and eating lunch, Ken's robot dog, Peach, jumped on the table and started eating some dumplings, and while all was well at first, Peach accidently dropped a dumpling into the Chemical X, causing it to become more powerful (don't ask how) and they re-name it "Chemical Z". Suddenly, drastic climate changes occur, and ice burgs start appearing everywhere around the world. Ken uses the chemical Z to destroy the iceburgs and try to restore the balance. The iceburg is destroyed and black and white lights streak the Tokyo City sky. 3 normal 13 year old girls Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru are hit by the white lights, causing them to transform into the "Powerpuff Girls Z", and the robot dog, Peach, is also hit by a white light, causing her to talk. However, the people/animals/etc. that were hit by the black lights were swayed to the side of evil, and thus the "Powerpuff Girls Z" become the new protectors of Tokyo City. However, it does take a few episodes for them to get together and all. There are plenty of main characters in the series, but the main ones are: The Powerpuff Girls Z, from left to right Buttercup,Blossom, and Bubbles. Blossom (Momoko) is the leader, naturally. She was the first one to be zapped by the white light, and loves the idea of being a super hero. She's a bit boy crazy and not quite as intelligent as her american counterpart, and she absolutely LOVES sweets. She transforms using the phrase "Hyper Blossom" and uses a yo-yo as a weapon. She is represented by hearts. Bubbles (Miyako) is the most innocent and slowest of the three girls, also loving becoming a super hero, but loving the outfit more so than actually being a hero. Like her american counterpart, she can also talk to animals. She transforms using the phrase "Rolling Bubbles" and uses a giant bubble wand as a weapon. She is represented by bubbles. Buttercup (Kaoru) is much more like her american counterpart, being the most tomboyish of the three, she is the most athletic girl in school and dislikes girls because they are too "girly" (duh?). Seeing as how her costume makes her wear a skirt, it makes her the most reluctant to accept her role as a super hero, but eventually accepts due to the power boost that she recieves. She transforms with the phrase "Powered Buttercup" and uses a hammer as a weapon. She is represented by stars. Peach is Ken's robotic dog, without her, the Powerpuff Girls Z would not be able to transform into their heroic form. She uses the phrase "Powerpuff Girls Da Wan!" to transform the girls and loves dumplings. Ms. Bellum is the mayor's assistant, and probably the actual brains behind the mayor. Like her american counterpart, we never see her face, as it is always covered by a clipboard. Ms. Keane is another returning character in the anime and is Momoko, Miyako, and Kaoru's teacher. All the boys have a crush on her, but the girls are not that fond of her. There are also many other characters, such as the Rowdyruff boys Z, HIM, Fuzzy Lumpkins, Mojo jojo, Princess Morebucks (under a different name) and the other PPG villians. There are also many more supporting characters such as Kaoru and Momoko's siblings, Miyako's grandmother, and so on. Cartoonnetwork has stated that they will show this series worldwide, but the series has only just finished in Japan, so there's no telling how long of a wait we'll have. Thanks for reading, this took a REALLY long time. Please give me credit if you're going to use this info on another site, thanks ^^.

Wow that's kinda weird and cool. Yush, I'm a dude but I still remember watching powerpuff girl's when I was younger. If you ask me, the anime spin is MUCH better than the origanl version. Sadly, I don't speak Japanese nor can I read in it, so I hope they convert it into English xD

I'm not really an anime fan (except for Pokemon when I was younger), but let's just say, let's hope this anime will not contain fanservice in it; that way, we can have a good and clean anime translated into english.

I've always loved the PPG's, especially when I was younger. They will convert it to english, Pirate, cartoonnetwork stated that they were gonna release the series worldwide.
