Good gaming Laptop?
Ok so my computer that I use regularly plays games horribly. It literally can't play anything besides videos. So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good gaming computer, that would also be good for surfing the web and watching video. I could also upgrade my RAM and graphics card on this, but I have no idea if it would work.
The only gaming computer that strikes my eye that is within my price range is the Alienware M11x Laptop. So before I go out saving for this, I just want everyones recommendation. Keep in mind it needs to be a Laptop and needs to be under $650 as that is my budget. Thanks in advance. Also how much would it be too build the Laptop instead of buying it straight up. Also my school is getting Macbooks next year and I want to know how good they run games before I go off buying an entirely new computer EDIT: Can I get this thread moved to the Land Lubbers forum? |

ALIENWARE ALL THE WAY.
Those laptops are incredibly awesome. Super powered, gaming machines. On some of the really good ones, I bet that you could be at Andaba Smasho with your graphics on high and have barely any lag, probably none at all. Although those laptops are really expensive. Honestly, if you want a laptop for that price, I would just go with a regular old Dell or something, with a good driver and such. I mean, just because its not a gaming computer, doesn't mean its not good. |

For $500, you'd be better off building one, though. I wouldn't say "Get an old computer and upgrade it" as much as I would say "Let a professional build you one to your specs with your options from the ground up". Doing this, you can get an entry-level gaming computer for 5 hun, a great starter. Laptops are complicated, though. Most laptops would be more expensive to upgrade than to build a new one. As I said, a pro can build you one that is pretty decent for $500, but it may be more for laptops. The M11x is amazing for it's price, so I'd say you're pretty good getting one of those for a simple, no headaches laptop. PS: (Davy, the cheapest ones will let you be at Abassa Darkhart with graphics on high and little lag if your Internet is good.) |

I don't know much about computers and hard drives and such. I have a Toshiba Tablet and I can run two pirates, at high graphics, with multiple tabs up with out any lag at all. Maybe a Toshiba is good for you.

Good news: I'm great with computors.
Bad news: I'm terrible with laptops. I can't really tell you what's the best type to play with, (I play with a 6 year old junkie tbh) but I do know of a laptop with pretty good capabilities. My best choice for you is the HP Pavilion g6t series. It's costs about 450$-600$, and It's a pretty balenced pc. Again It's not the best, but it's probably the best you'll get for your money. That's just my advice, if you want you can check some out for yourself. |

ASUS is a nice company that has good gaming computers. The top notch one I use is like $1200 though.

Maybe this summer I'll get a job to save for the computer I'll get. If not then I'll probably get one around next summer.

I think you should go with alienware. It's the best gaming laptop out there.

Tbh, I have been searching for a good gaming computer recently too. There was an alienware one that caught my eye and I am hoping to get that soon. I would go with alienware, it has good options and settings.

Mac is a great computer, but if gaming is your priority I would definitely NOT go with Mac.
