You get points for all the actions/tasks you have completed, even when aboard another pirates ship.
Each pirate gets thier reps/exp/notoriety based on thier actions (ie attacks on enemies, etc).
The captain gets NO portion of your earned Notoriety or Reps, etc. Only a captains share O the gold.
