I am currently level 11 on both Notoriety and Cannon skills. I don't have ships chasing me. But I also don't rely on my buggy radar. I use the old Eyeballs to tell me if I am getting too close to a ship.
If'n they are not to be sunk, they are only in the way. I try NOT to treat them racing slalom gates...weaving around them as I pass....it is hard but I do try. -)
