The site is privately owned and operated, and you agreed to the terms of usage upon siging up to be a user.
This is not a public domain forum - so even though discussion is open to topics they are subject to the terms you agreed to.
Of course, if you do not agree to the terms you do not have to post - but - you cannot use the Consitiution (which may not even apply as the site may be in a country which is not the U.S.) as a defence (though free speech is of upmost importance, I would agree)
But when it is counter-productive on a private site which you agreed to abide to the terms to use, you must accept the results or not post...
The choice is always yours - that is your right.

Now - as part of those terms of agreement... Spamming, Trolling, Flaming and many other rules listed in the
POF Policies and Guidelines can be reviewed at anytime by any user and should you have a question about them, feel free to PM a mod for clarification. If any user breaks the rules, it is within the site moderators discression to keep the forum in a proper operational state as to the Guidelines, and they must take direction as such.
Life itself is full of rules and regulations Swash, and its always your choice to follow those rules - of course just as in real life if you chose not to follow them there are consequences (which here, I would say many users - including yourself - get off pretty easy).
We COULD do 'work to rule'... but it wouldn't be nearly as fun or sometimes exciting as it is now...
