Tormenta is a nasty place!
Here's a little tip, Since you're level 12 on Pistol, I'm going to hope you unlocked Hex Eater Shot at lev 10. Hex eater drains the voodo power from voodo using enemies. In tormenta, those are The Brinescum, and Molosks. Hit them with a few rounds of Hex til you see the blue numbers over their heads stop showing up, and then they're free for the killing, can't harm ya.
If I remember, You need some Brines and Molosks for that quest, so that will get you going. You're also going to need Seabeards (eww) and Urchins, maybe a few Kelpbrains down the line...don't remember exactly. For those, bring a friend with a good Doll, and stock your tonics
