Actually, Take Aim has a better reputation value than the regular shoot skill.

The difference is, that shoot generally does less damage allowing you more attacks. Take Aim does not require full charge however, release it immediately (as soon as it starts to 'charge') and it does less damage, but still provides the rep reward advantages of Take Aim over regular shoot skill.
