This is awesome! I would make one suggestion, add a bit more to certain things such as the bow of the ship. Skeleton, Mermaid is cool, Shark could be another such item, Whale even. A Wolfs head, Hawks head.
Something theming the ship so when you name it you can give it a real fun look. So let's say you named your ship Sea Hawk, give it a Hawks head at the bow and maybe blue sails. Something along those lines. Designing the ship to fit the name so to speak. That way the ship truly is unique as much as possibly.
Also I think new ships are in high demand, Junks and other such ships.
