Excellent tips...do people seriously not rotate their camera around? I don't think my camera is ever stationary...I usually have it pulled up at 90 degrees so I can aim my broadsides using the masts...perfect shot every time.
People turn off the compass? That's how you know the exact moment an enemy ship is in range...and if you're on cannons AND the helm...it's great to know exactly how close the enemy ship is so you know when to leave cannon and get to helm.
