First you must be at the "Play Boss Battle" point of the Black Pearl story quest.

Keep in mind, by completing the boss battle...

You WILL GET:
A. More rep for weapons/skills used in the battle.
B. More gold from the enemies defeated in the battle.
C. Sailing Leadership skill (if you are the one needing to finish it).

You, WILL NOT GET:
A. A voodoo staff - This is a Notoriety level 30 weapon, you get the quest when you achieve notoriety level 30.
