They should, but they don't. I would advise sharing if possible, but sometimes they won't ask. My advice would be to change servers and try again. It's just no worth the hassle.
Tip: People have this tendency to select a light server when heading for Kingshead. I had a DOH! moment, and realized that there's only one Kingshead, and if everyone was looking on the light servers, then I might have better luck doing the opposite. My totally unscientific anecdotal evidence is that I tend to find an open Kingshead more often on the ideal servers than the light ones.
