The Rules:
-Speak straight lad! We be pirates so I will have none of that Bilge slang some of ye be shout'n! If'n ye need examples:
- NO LOLs and leetspeak
- NO Racist, Sexist, Bigotry
- NO abbreviations
- NO overuse of REAL LIFE talk (limit out of character chatter to a bare minimum)
-Respect yer Cap'n, Officers, an fellow crewmates! Maturity is key if'n ye want to be sail'n on Green Revenge!
-There be no age limit. As long as ye be a mature lad or lass then age will not be an issue. If'n ye be under the years of 18 then keep it to yerself!
-What the Cap'n says is the final word! If'n ye don't like yer orders then make it known. Ye better have a good reason fer such mutiny.
-Green Revenge hoists her anchors and opens her sails at certain hours of the day.
- 9PM Eastern is our typical game time during the weekdays. Weekends are less predictable (for now). This is when we are most active with our current guildmates so this may change over time.
-We be knowing pirates but we havn all yer answers so don't be expect'n em.
- We just started this game and our plan is to attempt to make a Guild to learn and explore with. That being said we have yet to find ourselves terribly stuck in this game.
-Gadflies be tak'n pirates of any skill!
- We will accept pirates from any Notoriety, Access level, and skill specializations. On the ship I am looking for people to shoot my cannons.
-Only the captain sails Green Revenge, that be me!
- If you want to build your sailing skill then we will do so on your ship. Green Revenge is only sailed by the captain, Lucrecia Merlose. If anyone takes the wheel without expressed permission will find themselves walking the plank!
-If'n ye are recruited don't think ye be a Gadfly quite yet. We be need'n time to get to know ye and not just everyone is Gadfly material.
- There is a probation period. This can take as little as a week and the length of this period varies significantly. Final recruitment is of the Leader and Officers discretion.
If Gadflies interest you then there are a few ways of getting recruited:
- Make a post in this thread
- Send me a personal message
- Register to the Gadflies Forums and make a thread in "Join the Crew"
Whatever your method may be, in most cases, you will receive a personal message from me in either POF or Gadflies Forums with the recruitment code. Once I've recognized you as joining Gadflies I will add you as a Recruit to our roster and you will undergo a probation period where you will be watched with scrutiny, your every movement tracked under a microscope of skepticism, and every word you say will be moderated for accuracy in punctuation, spelling, and role play immersion. *cackles wildly*
I jest! The probation period is for YOUR benefit. During this time just relax and play as you would like to play within Gadflies. If you are a good fit for us then it will all come naturally. If you are not a good fit for Gadflies then there is no harm. You simply will have to find a better fit elsewhere and that's better for you and Gadflies.
