Yeah, I already started a new pirate and have him to 5 notoriety, my first is only up to 8, and most of that is from doing the voodoo mission.
I've been using the forums to kind of get a gauge on what people think are useful skills. The only one I have kind of nailed down is sailing, I know I want full points in left and right sides as well as full sail for the situational speed boost... and I will determine later whether or not the passive speed boost will be helpful.
The jury seems to be out on what to do with cutlass, cannons and voodoo. Guns seems to be full leadshot, full aimed and full hex-eater as the most popular, but we'll see. Right now I am just doing quests, getting to know the game a little better, and enjoying myself.
