Think about this, for a moment. *A tremendous amount of activity exists (and is posted online) to where these hackers are either sharing, training, bragging, etc. the very 3rd party programs they are using.
By making an effort to specifically contact the companies concerning these programs (it is not difficult to figure out which ones), the hope is that many of these companies will listen and in-turn, take action to prevent their own company name from being associated with these "unethical" practices.

I hate to burst your bubble, but MANY of these Software Designers are Designing the Software being used FOR That Very Purpose...
They are Plenty Aware of WHAT their Software Does, What it it Being Used For and furthermore some Actively Encourage People to Use it FOR those Purposes.
Sadly, they won't care many of them, they see it as... It's DISNEY (or other MMORPG provider)'s problem, THEY can TRY and deal with us, but we'll just figure out how to exploit their Bug Fixes and Post a New Program.
