I don't blame them for the incident. I just feel they should report this to their community. This way, the people using AVG who suddenly "don't work", can hit the site and find out what the problem is.

Otherwise it's, "Now this darn game don't work AT ALL! What am I paying for?"

I think the community is better informed than ignorant. And I think the POTCO crew is better off informing people.

if youre truly concerned, why not try another av suite? panda, trend micro, norton, etc, and if they still label it as a virus, then we have some headway,
I'm not concerned. I'm merely reporting an incident between two programs that could adversely affect the playability of the game. And it's not about "trying another AV suite". It's about letting people know this small *burp* isn't the game breaking. It's a conflict between it and another program, and that it's being fixed as they read this.

but to trust one virus scan as my final arbiter is not something im willing to do, is why i use multiple programs, just like with spyware scanners, nothings perfect, get a second opinion, avg is known for false positivea.
Just so long as you understand that running multiple virus scanners on a machine drastically slows it down, and in some cases is counter-productive, as one AV product can find and destroy the defs of the other (and vice-versa).

Multiple spyware products (so long as they're not all active), fine.

Multiple AV on a live system? No.
