Actually, if you name your ship Gullible, it should work.
I kid, I kid. Unfortunately, the awesome broadsides of unique ammo are reserved for the NPC's, despite how much we were wishing that the Cerberus, Revenant, and SOTL would be released for players. Maybe someday, but not today.
